  1. Grant Hundley

    I removed the rest.

Sort it, or in the half term Ben and I will be bored because we will only have my bike to ride, which is a mod, and Ben is 6'7".

So basically, we'll come and call for you if it isn't sorted by then.

    Need my postcode too?

Nice one on telling thousands of people (not just forum members) on where i live, as you can see from my profile that i'm from worcester.

    well done

  2. The refund for hudsons was ment to have been send before christmas. He aslo said that he was going to refund me this week, still no sign of a bank transfer !

Don't end topic till its over im nopt letting it die down !

What?? He kept saying that it could be because of christmas and that he's going to wait till after christmas for it.

Quite recently I have traded/bought some stuff off BigDrew on the forum, ask him if he see's me as an unreliable trader, I bet he'll say I am as we have sorted the arrangement out at the start of the week and I'm going to be recieving my parts tommorow.

Oh and you are welcome to come down to Worcester, just your not going to find your parts here :S

Can't the topic be closed, then just make a new one if theres any problems about your refund, as at the moment this is just turned into a hate filled topic.

I'm not replying again in this topic as the problem is sorted (once i transfered the money). I'm giving you a refund.

  3. Yeh, was in the Black Listed Trader's bit :giggle:

When Ben has seen the receipt for the parcel then I would hope the mods change it back.

I think I was only re-validated so i could be put into the blacklisted traders group... Lol

yer i agree if i get the reciept i might change opionion. but at this moment I will NEVER buy off anyone i don't no on here again !

To be fair, you've accused me of scamming you, you've accused me of never even having the parts, you accused me of whatever else.. Even though I gave you the tracking number...

The least you could do is just say sorry for all these un-true accusations.

I know that you must think I am scamming you, but if I was then where would i have got a tracking number from????????

  4. and you also said you were going to be doing it this week ? still no sign.. ?

Yeah i admit i havn't sorted that out. But it will hopefully be sorted tommorow, as I said to you on msn and you said thats fine!

Well done, you have found my profile...

Grant if this was the case, which I doubt, you'll have the reciept which you'll be happy to send to Ben with the refund. Which will then mean we can forget it all and your blacktrader status will be removed.

    ok (Y)

    Then you'll all apologize?

  5. Im sorry grant but its abit dodgy that royal mail always looses PARCELS OFF YOU !! Wheres hudsons ? same place as mine ... or is it the same parcel ? or have you not even got the stuff ! Im fumming ! you dont realise that all i need to finnish my bike is a rear brake!

Ask anyone that I ride with, i had TWO sets of heatsink adapters and now I use the Onza ones that I have got...

I've had things get lost from Tarty, actually.. about 3 things i think.. One more parcel from them went missing, oh my god TARTY ARE SCAMMERS.

Your getting your refund, I even offered to give you a bit more back because of the delays etc.

  6. Just address them to Mr Hundley.

EDIT: Hey Ben, Yorkshire isn't too far from you... WATCH OUT BITCH, WE'RE COMING FOR YOU!!!!!

Yorkshire? :S Worcester is quite a lot further away than yorkshire....

Anyway, I am refunding you Ben, I have given you a tracking number and your accusing me of making it up?!! If you type in a random number on the royal mail site then it will say theres an error! Whats the chances of me making up a number that works??????

You keep saying the message on the royal mail site is the same.. Obviously it will be if they have no further information on where the parcel is?

Your getting a refund. As i already told you on msn.

As far as I'm concerned I shouldn't be blacklisted as I haven't scammed you. You failed to recieve my parcel for you, so your getting a refund...

And about Conor, I very much doubt he's scammed you, he's got enough money to build up 2 decent spec bikes and enough parts to build up another bike.. Judging by the bike stuff he has, he has no need to nick money off you!

  7. Look guy's, it's not hard to get Validated.

All it takes is One good post, There looking out for a good post that is well punctuated, with good use of grammar and in context to the topic

    Not a thousand posts.

For instance, Curly koxx levelboss has made 2 new topics within 4 minutes. Which Full members would class as Spamming.

To be honest with you theres never no more than 5 topics made in each section of the forum per day. Where as in NMC which has half the members there have already been 46 Topics started today in NMC alone....Only 13 of them had the word "Trials" in them.

Just cut down on posts. And only post the really good ones ! And you'll get Validated in no time !

    Jarrod

You've already been validated, stop with all the grammar

You can just get rid of the grammar after being validated :P

  8. PENGELLY CAN APARENTLY

    WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

    HAVE A COOKIE>

EDIT: Yeah just smash your rim with a grind, skim the disc across the braking surface, may need to do like 3 lines next to each other to cover the whole sidewall.

Just get an old rim and try it out, you'll quickly see how easily it can be done.

For harsher grinds just push down more, tilting the grinder at a different never seems to make a difference for me <_<

Also, there isn't really a need to take your tyre off, I never do and never have problems. Just makes the sidewalls of my tyres look a bit scruffy.

  9. I'm around 5'11"

To be honest, height hasn't got a lot to do with it, Neil Tunnicliffe was riding a short 05 zoo pitbull, and he's over 6ft tall.

Also, the wheelbase is quite often irrelevant to how long a bike will feel. Because of the slack head angle on the pure, it will feel a lot short than other long frames available. A short Echo Control will feel about the same length as your long pure, Even though the wheel base on the Echo control is 1060mm.

What you have to look for is the measurement from the bottom bracket to the top of the head tube, this will tell you how long it will feel.

The bottom bracket height and chainstay length will have a fair bit to do with how well it will manual etc. the longer chainstays it has, the more stable you will be on the back wheel. Also the lower bottom bracket will mean its more stable.

  10. Yes onza is by far the best company to start with, but they should aim higher than beginners bikes

They do, they will know that people who will buy their bikes will eventually get new parts and upgrade.

So on their frames have pretty good geo, so when the beginner upgrades, he/she will still have a good bike.

Means that if they don't like trials then they havn't spent hundreds more than what they needed too.

  11. If you want to bunnyhop easier then get some higher bars and stem (Y)

If you wanted a nice streety frame then theres always frames such as the short Echo Control, or any frame around 1065 with no more than +20mm bottom bracket height.

Long frames can be bunnyhopped etc, but it will just take some getting used to compared to short frames. Look at Neil Tunnicliffe, he bunny hops into most of his hooks.. and he's hooking over 6ft now?

  12. Hi,

i just been looking through onza's new 2008 bikes and this i think is appaling, could the spec get any worse? i mean there using parts from the t-vee and t-bird, why do they not use magura?

i personally think a 06 t-bird is better than this!

onza you need to get off youre ass and do something about it! pehaps new braked wheels bars and stem?

Its also cheaper now.. Just because its not a spec you'd like to see doesn't make it worse. Being cheaper will make this bike more appealing to people just starting trials. If you wanted your own spec etc you'd buy all the parts yourself and build it up. In my opinion Onza are making starting trials a lot easier than any other trials company.

  13. If i was you i would go down to a bike shop and ask them to show you because if somebody tells you how to do it you could have a go but then theres a chance of messing it up so best bet is to go down to yur local bike shop and then yo can do it all by ur self that better than asking anyone on here

I think your thinking of a different kind of tapping...

He means the trials move to back wheel a wall, not tapping threads.

  14. My friend has used one (well two).. First lasted about a week before the rachet ring messed up (so when you pedalled nothing would happen), so he got a replacement off tarty. 2 or 3 days later.. The same problem occured.

Someone else I know had one, aparently skipped loads.

  15. Personally I would stick with the Magura, but thats because i prefer rim brakes.

With disc brakes you can feel the flex from the disc rotor and spokes.

With rim brakes it will feel a lot more solid than a disc, this is because theres no rotor and spokes to flex.

Disc brake do work in the dry and the wet, but if you get a bit of oil near the rotor, then your brake just won't work. Also, it is possible to hit and bend the rotor, obviously this will mean the brake won't work very well.

Rim brakes won't work in the wet unless you have a grind, personally I find a grind on the front annoying because you can't slow down smoothly and you can't slow down without your pads wearing down at a silly rate. Rim brakes are also noisy a lot of the time (especially with a grind)..

If your current set up is how you like it, then why bother wasting your money on something you might not like.

  16. If you think about the prices, last time i checked, a fully pimp magura (cnc lever blade, brake mounts, pads etc..) they work out at the roughly the same price, and the echo was designed for trials, not just adapted.

There isn't really a need for cnc lever blades though, standard ones are fine. Pads are an extra £15 or so that would mean the cost of a decent brake would be £80ish, the Echo brakes are about £130 and don't seem as reliable.

Magura's have been used for years in trials, yeah you do get problems with them but, since the Echo brakes were released, theres been hundreds of topics about their Echo brake screwing up.

And why dopeople bleed them (the echo brakes) with water? They have all metal insides etc unlike the plastic you find in maguras, You wouldn't dare bleed a hydraulic disc with water so why treat a good quality rim brake any differently?

    Magura's are metal inside too...

I'm pretty sure the seals are the same on Echo brakes aswell?

  17. To be honest, the Echo brakes don't seem to be good at all, a lot of people have problems with them leaking after its bled with water.

In my opinion, their not worth the extra over a Magura.

You won't notice any more power with an Echo brake, the only real difference between them and the Magura's is the strength...

Just go for a Magura (Y)

If you can, get an '04 lever, these seem to be a lot stronger than the '05 lever bodies....
