  1. Wow...

    It's not anodised.

If it was anodised, why would you use Nitromors?

As has already been mentioned (as you should've learned before the age of 5), it's Aluminium, and isn't going to rust. :S

    Use Nitromors.

So would this stuff do the trick? ... Nitromors Also how much would i need to strip the whole frame? This link is for 1litre but i can pick up 500ml or 250ml on ebay cheaper? Thanks. Grant.

  2. I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get hold of the power pad or magura backings. I thought it would be a good challenge to see if i could make a pair of decent pads. Any help about backings would be good and if theres anyone that knows a lot about the production of pads that would be even better.

    Cheers

  3. clamp he crank in a vice...flood the threads with wd40...put the bb tool in with a bolt going through both the crabk and bb to prevent it slipping.then get a spanner off the tool, then put a big extender bar to get the leverage over it.....

I tryed the bb tool, it fit but i dent think to bolt it in and it snapped. Cheers though all i need is a new tool and am sorted! cheers everyone.

  4. I have a rear hope c4 if ur interested!

Sorry mate not really after them.

I was going to get a new lever but its the pistens that have broke, they also had lazy pistons and a few other problems so i just thought i will have a fresh start and get a complete new brake.

  5. Right i am after a new rear brake as my new style magura is broke... I dont really want another one because i never really got on with them, im looking for a NEW old syle magura (the silver one) and cant find one on the internet that sells them singley. What about HS11? any good? they seem pretty cheap but just a different lever. Im also going to my local bike shop in the moring to see if they stock them but any links or feedback would be great thanks.

    Cheers

  6. When you say set it up did you undo the mounting bolts (the Tri-align ones) and then pull the brake lever and then tighten them up again? You're probably already aware but if the pads aren't aligned it'll cause part of the pads to hit first, which will make it feel spongy.

No i dent, i just replaced them with out taking it off, but i did pull the lever in before putting the wheel back on and there was only one moving in. Do you know how to prevent this?

    Cheers

  7. Sorry if this is a repost, i tryed the search and didn't find anything. Anyways i just replaced my pads in my bb7, following the instuctions properly and using the help on wiki. So i did all of this put my wheel back in set up the brake and went to ride and it feels really spongy. Is this because there new pads? and should i give them time to bed in so its a soild brake again?

    Cheers
