  3. Not sure. Hopefully Stocktrials will chime in, he has had several on his bike with varying results.

Maybe not, but his alter ego might..

I had the RB lever (original version) and it leaked after a while. I put the blade on 3 different Magura's 9 (pre-05 lever bodies) and it made them all leak too. I'm not sure why, it may be to do with the way the TPA grub screw thingy works? It basically always has to be touching the piston for it to work properly. Not sure

  4. Massively improved riding from john since his appearance in Trials Is Dead dvd. Utter beast :o

    He wasn't in it :ermm:

Anyway he will be in the next one. He is an awesome rider, I wouldn't categorise him in the "beast" or monster category, he's too smooth for that

  5. the Quark was the most popular bike at this year's World championship.

The Quark 2 should follow in it's success, with a vast number of improvements - splined cog/hub, new crank/freewheel, new forks, tensioner integrated into frame..

    Definitely getting one.

  6. Chris is a top geeza

He was ova ere in oz for some time ay

Blimey its been a while since e was ere, top rider though.

But seriously, he is a great dude and very very good rider... look out for his street & natural section in Trials Is Dead 2!!! (coming soon)

    Here's a photo of him.

  7. Back in the day, I think they did justify themselves moreso than these days.

I had mine for about 6 years, paid about $500 for it (about £258). Looked after it, cleaned it maybe once every 18 months.

Back then, there was ACS claws, King, Shimano silentclutch, maybe Profile... and that's it.

Come 2009, decided to go front fw, sold it and it's still going strong.

But now there are freewheels with over 72 ep's, and much more affordable for the average punter. Whether 5 freewheels are more reliable than 1 King, I'm not sure.. high engagement fw's are still relatively young.

So yes, I think there is still a place for the ol' CK hub, but the fw is much cheaper in the immediate short term.
