To save even more weight why dont you cut your steerer tube down instead of running to carbon fibre spacers?

what would happen to the ride of my bike if i bought new stem and bars??
The only reason i am asking is that i like the ride of my bike but new stem and bars are in order
At The Moment i run the standard 07 onza t-pro bars and stem on a standard t-pro
BUT
i am going to buy new bars and stem and wondering how much of an effect would a echo team stem and either GU flat bars or echo low rise will effect the ride?

we wil ride places out of the way like playhouse etc plus its a sunday not many will moan because nobody is at work
thats a lie because i was riding on a sunday and loads of community officers came up to us at the back of the playhouse and said it was a £1000 fine to anyone caught riding.

It may sound strange but prefer to be on my own because that way i can concentrate more on what i am trying to dial. all i need is my trusty ipod
.although i do like group rides aswell as i learn off more experienced riders.

I have a tensile but i want a rear freewheel instead due to how many trousers its chewed up but would i noticed a difference if i got a profile on the rear?
