  1. just a sugestion, did you bed your hub in when you first rode it? eg ride up and down hills alot and not pedal kick to tighten the rachet ring? if it feels like a soft slipping and not enough to jerk you while your putting the power down, it could be your ratchet ring tightening? or there is a possability that the rachet ring threads are starting to strip as what happend to my old pro2, if so send it bach to hope and they will replace it straight away!

give it a test when you can by pedaling up a steepish hill using as much leg power as possable, even try and drag your brake just to make sure!

  2. it has been doing my head in for a while trying to fing the vid, anyone know the name of the rider or video, the guy rides a yellow or green echo control with dual vee's, flat bars and wears a piss pot lid, i can remember the vid/ rider was pretty awesome years ago lol

  3. Hi guys, not only have I been working on a fully integrated Magura/Echo Booster iBooster I had also turned my attention to the more streety amoung us and created a Magura 4-Bolt Mount Incorporating Vee-Brake Booster! I'm currently in the process of producing the prototype and look forward to similar results as I've had from the integrated Magura Model.

    - The unique Integrated Booster & Brake Vee Pin design reduces weight, flex and increases strength by removing the need for running Vee Adaptors with long flexi bolts and spacers to clear the Vee Brake arm upon which sits the booster.

    - Frame remains under a consistent minimised flex distortion even when the rear wheel is extended in horizontal dropouts.

    - Lowest Booster/Vee brake clamp profile all while increasing brake power and feel.

    - Excellent internal Booster profile minimises stress and thus flex with a reinforced wall rib structure.

    - Machined pockets in the Booster to reduce weight whilst retaining crucial rigidity.

    - CNC machined from high grade billet Aluminium 6061-T6

    - Includes chamfered and round edges throughout to reduce weight and sharp edges to hands.

    - For use with dedicated 4-bolt Magura Mounts

    - 89mm/95mm Frame spacing (centre-to-centre of bolt holes to suit Inspired Frames?)

    - Featuring a choice of 2 vertical mounting positions to suit horizontal dropouts (if designed with 100mm T.G.S frame spacing. TBC)

    - Weight: TBC

I realeased this along side my integrated Magura iBooster through FB Bristol Trials Group and have yet found the time to post it here. All thoughts welcome.

    Thanks for reading.

    pm'd!

  4. That booster looks amazing! loving the concept behind it :o, this man should also have a go at making a stiff v brake booster as the only stiff nice looking one about is shimano xtr carbom booster, and they ain't stiff enough are too rare and expensive! and the mounting holes are not wide enough for most frames with wide rims and new pads :/ with the amount of people running v brakes nowdays i think there is a huge niche in the market for a stiff nice looking v brake booster that is wide enough to fit most frame, rim and pad combinations!

i think he should make some strong vee adaptors aswell, the onza ones available today just ain't up to the job strength wise, and the neon and echo ones available on tartybikes don' have the adjustability, and i know that heatsink is going to release the mk3 vee adaptors again, but i don't know weather it is a ''one off'' or a permanant thing or not yet :S

could deffo be onto a winner if he produces stuff for v brakes even half as good as that magura booster though! :o there just ain't anything on the market decent enough available in terms of v brake's :(

    Andrew.

  5. had a bad 24hrs, snapped my v adaptors and just stripped my 4 bolt mounts trying to fit a magura :/ i know the bolts are m5 but what size hole will i need to drill? what size hellicoil will i need and where would i be able to get a cheap kit from?

    please help someone :(

  6. Right, everytime i upload a pic during posting a topic, it says 'add to post', everytime i click that, 2 seconds later it redirects me to the forum homepage! same goes fo the photo gallery, says start new album, as soon as i click i am back on the homepage :( anyone know why this is? and how to solve the problem? need to sell some stuff, and i need to be able to upload pictures to sell the stuff ideally! help!!

  7. Basicly i ain't rode in 3+ years! :o and am getting back into it soon, i am aware that time have changed alot in every way possible, but the 1 thing i hope ain't is that the rocks in dockside in chatham? anyone know if they are still there? if they are are they ridable without getting a bollocking by securaty/getting nicked by the old bill? also are there any other decent spots or new spots that are popular nowadays around kent/medway? please help lol.

  8. Righto, as the title says iv'e not had f**k all to do with bikes at all in over 3 years nearly 4! and have became insainly unfit and fat :(lol, so really need to get back on the bike just to help me lose weight and try and get me fit! and for something to do of course :P

getting to the point, i have a 07 hope pro2 rear hub that the rachet ring threads had stripped, but i notice that hopes pro2 hubs are now called pro2 evo's, are they any different at all? and what would be the warrenty procedure nowadays? would i get get the newer model hub or would get an old hubshell of the same vintage? or would they just tell me to bugger off lol,i don't have access to a printer either so i wouldn't be able to print of a return form either, would that be any problem?

also same goes with my cranks :( i have a old pair of sqaure taper 165mm middleburn rs7 cranks that the left crank arm has cracked half way down the arms, i understand thease cranks have a lifetime warrenty aswell, what would be the procedeure on getting these replaced? does anywon know if they would the replace them in 175mm isis at all?

i also notice that koxx bloxx pads don't exist anymore :o i guess things really have changed aye? what happend to them and whats the most compatible in terms of performance and wear now adays?

sorry for the long post, and thanks for your time! feel like a right beginner now! :$

    At The Border Checkpoint

Five Englishmen in an Audi Quattro arrived at an Irish border checkpoint.

Paddy, the officer, stops them and tells them: 'It is illegal to put five people in a Quattro. Quattro means four.'

'Quattro is just the name of the automobile,' the Englishman retorted disbelievingly. 'Look at the papers: this car is designed to carry five persons.''

'You cannot pull that one on me,' replies Paddy. 'Quattro means four. You have five people in your car and you are therefore breaking the law.'

'You idiot!', the Englishmen replies angrily. 'Call your supervisor over. I want to speak to someone with more intelligence!'

'Sorry,' responds Paddy, 'Murphy is busy dealing with two guys in a Fiat Uno.
