Isn't there like a legal brightness that lights have to be though?
Those wrap around lights don't look very bright at all.

I've heard rumours that you can now get a £30 on the spot fine for not having lights on your bike at night!
Is anyone actually going to put a set of lights on their trials bike? lol.
I can't imagine any of us putting up a decent chase from the police on their bikes!
Maybe it's just Basingstoke...

Depends how oldschool you wanna go...
I was around at the time when everyone bought Saracen X-Ile frames and pimped them up into trials bikes. Back when Pashley had just brought out the 26MHz. We all had bikes with 32T rings and DH bars that you could jump as well as trial (for the record I've built up a Base TA26 along those lines recently; pics on their way, stay tuned). Dayglo yellow maguras were the order of the day in the brakes department, and if your tyres weren't Tioga Factory DHs or IRC Kujos (or later El Gatos), you may as well have gone home. There were a lot of Zaskars and DS1s around that time as well. Montys and Megamos were like rocking horse shit in the UK; if you wanted a mod you had to either spend forever finding one, or special order the Hans Rey GT mod. We could all recite most of the commentary and interviews from Chainspotting word for word. Trials was a lot more closely related to mountain biking in general - we'd be out riding with guys on DH and freeride (which was a new concept back then) rigs regularly.
Things were different back then - the whole tone of the trials community has changed massively, and the riding has come a LONG way...but it was still more fun back then for some reason. Bouncing around on massive bikes and sidehopping OFF stuff.
</nostalgia>
Ahhh memories!
I started about the same time.
And yeah, it was a lot more fun back then, maybe because I actually had a crew then rather than riding alone.

Why is it that when it gets a little bit cold or a little bit wet, people suddenly turn into complete retards on the road?!
Rant over.

What Radiohead have done is actually REALLY clever...
Because EVERYONE is talking about this album!
I've had mates that have NEVER liked Radiohead before, asking me what I think of this new album and such.
So basically because it's a 'freebie', they have widened their fan base and got everyone talking.

I like the album... A LOT.
It didn't spark any sort of reaction the first time I heard it... but everytime I hear it, I like it more.
Not as good as 'Down In Albion' though.
-
I've had it for a few days now, paid 0 because I could.
I have no moral issue with what I've done.
But yeah it's never going to live up to The Bends or OK Computer.
But it's nice to listen to... that's how I'd describe it.
The whole album seems to be on one straight line of quality, ie: there are no REALLY good tracks and no really crap tracks.
"Nude" stands out to me as the weakest though I guess.

Any opinions of this album?
I know my opinion of it... but I'm after others please!

My rear XTR v-brake makes some HORRIBLE vibrating noises as I'm riding.
I appreciate it's where my wheel is flexing as i ride and my brake pad is tacky so it's trying to grip it.
I think it's to do with the parallel linkage thing...
I mean, I've had the brake for many years, and I can actually feel the movement in the brake pad when I wiggle it with my finger.
My question is this - What can I do about it?
I'm considering greasing all the links up, has anyone resolved this issue before?

I used to work at JJB lol!!
When I applied for the job, I had just turned 16 and was still at school...
They didn't bother interviewing me, they just gave me the job lol... as a bike tech!!
Funniest days of my life working there.
Now I'm stuck in an office as an IT technician.

My first trials build was a 1999 Cannondale M500 CAAD2 frame and forks in 15".
Built up with the usual old school parts (a lot of which I'm still using on my current Pashley).

Got to get rid of the front V... it's crap!!
As it stands now... waiting for a Revell fork to turn up and then my hope hub and disc and mavic 121 will go on... anyone remember the mavic 121? about as rare as a seat!!
Didn't the Mavic 121 get rebranded as the Mavic D521?
...which is now the Mavic EX721??

Alright lads...
I'm considering coming along, but it all depends on what happens tonight at this big party I'm going to.
Can someone who's gonna be there all day PM me their number so I can find you lot if I'm late or whatever?
I do kinda know Reading town centre reasonably well.

There's a Reading ride this Sunday which I might be going to.
Depends on what mischief I get up to tonight
Have a look in the Rides/Locations section on 'ere.

LEGEND.

That looks like the old Saracen X-Tort paint job!
- Correct me if I'm wrong.

Saturday is no good for me.
Sunday is free if anyone's interested in Basingstoke?

Nice!
I've never noticed how thin the seat tubes are on those frames!!
