Resolution is the problem. When native desktop resolution is below 1080p computer/laptop has to resize image to its desktop resolution e.g. on my laptop every video player has to resize that video from 1080p to 720p beacause my laptop has 1280x800 pixels. That video looks like a powerpoint presentation. So if you want to make everybody happy you should release at least two versions of video: 1080p and 720p. Framerate isn't an issue for modern computers they rather are able to handle this flawlessy. It is possible for me to watch that video but i have to connect my laptop to 1080p TV so there is no need to resize.
