I have had a Shimano un52 in my bike for the last 2 years and have had no trouble yet.

On progrestrial.com there is a little flag on the left hand side that changes it to english.

Also, have a look in the wiki on this site. It is quite helpfull

length of the headtube would affect the height of it as well wouldnt it? ashtons are higher than pitbulls for example,
maybe wrong i dont know
Steve
Yes , it would, your right. overlooked that . if you are running spacers on your current frame or are going to a frame with a shorter headtube you will be good though.
-
ah, so if the headtube angle is different it will change...and thats the only reason itll change?
yes, thats it.
-
The height of your bars could change if you get a frame with a different headset angle. but I think most of them are around 72 degrees, so it would not change by much.
Edit : I worked it out. just as an example lets say your hub to your bars is 800mm. then on a bike with a 72.5 degree head angle the height would be about 763mm and on a bike with a 71.5 degree angle the height would be 759mm. So in my example measured only from the hub, becouse the wheel is the same on both, changing the head 1 degree changes the height 4mm.

I have an avid bb7 of my stock bike, Although they seem great to me I have not had a heap of other brakes to compare it to.
(my aviator picture is out of date)
-
My avid bb7's that are on a non trials bike seem to stop working well at all as soon as the cables even see dirt. but I got new cable and lube them abit and they run very well.
-
I have two avid juicy 5 on my mountain bike and think they would be great, they certainly have good stopping potential.
On my trials bike I just got an avid BB7(got them yesterday) for the front and although it is a little harder it still seems fine.

Nice weather gets me in the mood for trials and when ever I am reading a tutorial or watching a move that I think I could do or would like to be able to do.
Regardless I normally go out for an hour or two after work each day.

I have enjoyed learning on my 26 inch bike, also it may just be me but my riding feels smoother on a 26". Admittedly I have only had a small hour long ride on a 20" bike, but I have been learning on a 26" and have not had any problems. I am 6 foot 2 though so I guess if you are smaller you might have more trouble with a 26.

maxxis high roller 2.35 front and rear.
I have not had too much trouble with them , will get a 2.5 minion for the rear when my current one wears out.

I Have a non ground rims and a hs33 for the back, a few weeks ago I bought my self some zoo pads and have so far been very impressed. They lock very well, they are a bit loud though.
Have a look at this " http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=41481 " (if you havent already) as it helped me when I was deciding what pads to get.
Cheers

It didn't show, under the help topics posting images it says to go to my controls and then to your albums. but under your albums it says that I can not yet use this part.
So I uploaded an image to my webspace and used the insert image button , then pasted this link " http://www.kathrynyeats.com/pics/trials/trialsbike2.jpg " but it didnt work.
Sorry
I will do some looking into how this all works and try again later

Here is my bike, Its my first and am just getting into trials.
The frame is a speedrace satan.
I havent yet decided if I will go single speed or put a fiction shifter on the seat post.
The seat post top part I will chop off, I just have not got round to it yet. I might also chop the steerer down a bit too.
(hopefully my pic shows up, first time)

I got into trials after chancing across some videos on the internet. I have never enjoyed other people watching me on my bike, so it was the challenge of trials right from the start when I first started on my XC bike.
