110mm
takes a standard mod hub but the dropouts are double the thickness to take up the space usually taken up by snailcams
-
brake cleaner spray should get any contaminant off

phil who run selectbikes now has a bikeshop in maghull, liverpool
not sure whether he has any trials stuff anymore
best bet would be to ring him on 0151 527 1537

Well the sky has an internal headset so it's going to be longer, with the heatsedt installed it works out about the same height
diameter wise he means, the headtube is flush witht he crown of the forks on the sky 2, with this frame, it isnt
-
It has the same piston size and seal size and is based very closely on the Mono Trial caliper so it pretty much is the same inside but with a slightly different external appearance.
it has a different piston size, by a few mm's, hence it not being as powerful as the mono trial
-
thats the one dude, its been on 3 different frames now and i cant fault it
-
What Headset are you using ?? Is it working ok with the Echo fork as they have the built in crown race ?
Thanks
Jamie
yo dude, its a crank bros cobalt headset, there ridiculously cheap on crc at the mo, works with the built in crown race on the forks perfectly yeah

And you say the maggie mounts didn't work? That stinks cause if I got one I'd run a maggie. Hopefully they aren't all like that.
they were well usable but welded a little bit wonky, meant the slaves had to be on crazy mad angles for the pads to make aquare contact with the rim
to anyone wanting to run a rear disc on one, its an awesome frame for that, same geo as sky 2
-
It's an all new redesigned frame.
i had one a few months ago

i had one of these, such a nice frame to ride, was spot on running a disc, but when i came to run a maggie, the mounts were welded on wonky, just something to check if i were you

Thats cushy as! Ive seen loads of the white bar version snapping but not heard a single problem with the black ones! Weird or what, my black ones have lasted me a year and still going strong too.. I hope haha
I thought the same, iv had these bars on my last bike which i sold and didnt have a single problem, touch wood
-
Holy macaroni thats lush! Finally somebody else using the same bars as me
Cheers dude, mainly as i can get them trade price from the bike shop i work in and the frame., perk of the job ay
-
hey guys, just thought id whack a few pics up of my new frame, got this last week, its my second limey 320.
iv had a few frames since my first and none have been as comfortable as this for me
should be able to guess spec, if not just ask

just get a king bmx hub, nuff said

-
And how would that work exactly??
pretty much all bmx forks have integrated crown races, the crown is in such a shape to sit against the bearing eliminating the need for a crown race
my 2011 sl forks do, and im sure my trialtechs did aswell
http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/20_inch_forks/echo_sl_20_inch_2011/c13p11618.html <<LIKE THIS
im sure i ran my trialtechs as im running the sls now, without a race
-
pretty sure the forks have an integrated crownrace, take your race off and see if the bearing runs against the forks okay without
-
that looks better, all black with a few coloured parts
i say go for that one
-
thats ace then yeah marin are the only company iv come across with a true lifetime warranty
no questions asked replacement. we'v done quite a few hardtails, only a few full sus frames (all of these are years and years old, some 10years or older)
and one guy who hammers his rigid urban "marin point reyes" so much that i think hes on his 3rd frame and 2nd pair of forks
-
safety is priceless, save for a good one. Job done.
all helmets have to meet the same standards, so its not like youll buy an "unsafe" one by spending less.
although the more expensive ones are made to a little bit higher quality and look nicer, but either is better than none

sweeeeet, a mate of mine has an old school klein, pace forks, king hubs, xtr v brakes, sram x0 gripshift
old school is cool!
wev had plenty of old mount visions in for repair (im a mechanic at a bike shop)
youll be happy to know that they last forever, id probably keep the frame if i were you, they are so fun to ride.
and on the offchance you do manage to crack it, marin warranty is second to none
if you still have the original reciept they just replace it for you.
the nearest modern replacement is the new mount vision with a fox rp2 shock, had a few very happy customers when this has been the case.
-
have a look on ebay for some paces, will go with all your xtr kit sweet
they are light as hell aswell
or these, are lovely, if you dont mind spending a fair bit
come with the v brake boss clamps aswell if you look in one of the pics
-
the only v iv ever ran was an avid single digit 7 on the front, on a grind, with rockman blue cnc pads
was far better than any magura iv ever ran, masses of bite and hold, with a good set up and a booster v's are just as good as maggys
-
i am not looking to buy a chris king hub so you would recommend a rear disc?
definitely! you cant go wrong aslong as the brake is set up and bedded in properly, it will work amazingly
that is provided you get a hope or a decent brake, i had an echo and that wasnt bad after it bedded in, was much better with some hope pro pads in.
