failed tailwhip attempt, attempted only out of sheer curiousity.

Not super exciting or as big as i can go but hopefully something better next time!

  2. 1 ACBD

2 Funky irregular beat, could be used in a veriety of genres. Doesn't feel as repetative as the others.

3 Prefer complex rhythms as I prefer to be able to pick them out and distinguish from one to another, as i listen to quite a lot music with less complex leads

4 Yeah, guitar and occasionally piano and mainly dubstep/dnb and occasionally other music production

    5 Dubstep

  3. Like; this or this.

The handy bit with the second one is you can choose the octaves, therefore it gives you the ability to have a large plugin running with loads of trigger, and you can flip up and down the octaves to select them.

I recently got the second one - AKAI LPK25, really good piece of kit really responsive and its just a USB to plug it in and works straight away. Only downside i've found is that if you're playing chords and trying to play actual piano music on it its not got a big enough key range, but i can play piano so may not bother you.

Can't recomend it enough though for synth work and its pressure sensitive as well so you can get hard and soft sounds out of your synths and cheap too, picked mine up for £40 inc postage next day!

  4. Installed any new hardware recently? If so take out and try without it.

See if you can get into it with safe mode and shutdown propperly and re-boot, sometimes that works.

If that doesn't work then you dont have much chance without a cd drive to boot from, any chance you can borrow a mates laptop drive and boot it from cd that way?

  5. I'll be heading there, had to miss the last few years gutted! going to miss the friday night and sat morning/dinner time stuff as i'll be on a plane back to england, but should be heading over for the evening and sunday!

  6. I'll keep my BC Rich comments to myself. I had that exact amp though pretty shortly after they came out (I think) and had the big ol' control board for it - was massive fun but in the end I decided to stop with the whole digital sound thing. Such good value for money though...

Yeah it's been pretty good to me so far, been well used and abused gigged and thrown in vans a lot and is still going strong, dont really go into the digital sound effects much, only when boredom takes over but not for very long.

As for BC Rich comments, I understand why many people may be at odds with them, and having the same money to spend on a new guitar now rather than back then, I should think I'd chose more wisely and bought something quite a lot better. Having said that it too has been used and abused everyday pretty much for the last 5/6 years and still going without any breakages bar a few rounded bolts on the lock nuts up top. A lot better for some reason than other BC's I've played.

BC Rich Beast Platinum Pro, Floyd Rose floating trem

    Line 6 Spider II 2x12 150w

Had them both for over 5 years now, also have a squire strat which was my first guitar with a 30w Marshall amp and an ooold Peavey big amp lying around somewhere aswell. Have a couple of acoustics but nothing worth a mention!

Soon as i have money shall be upgrading to a decent guitar as this one is rather out there looks wise although suprisingly versitile its not so comfy to use.

    Let the comments commence...
