  3. Actually if you look at it, the bits he has taken away dont come under much stress anyway.... quite a good idea if you have the tools and money to be doing it..... and yet he still has paint on his frame ...

    Good on him for trying!

  4. Tar works well in the dry, but as the other guy said once wet it can make you brake really pants.

I used to run tar all the time with zoo! pads and it worked well but after a while i had to suffer with cleaning it all off again. If you want to run tar i think its good if you keep on using it but when you stop you will have to clean your rim well and your brake will feel awful, it took a few days of riding and cleaning to get my rim back to normal... but then i ground it :P and even though it is bad for your rim , my brake is amazing!

  5. You could get chain tugs but from my expirence they always bend ^_^ i was actually thinking of making the switch to snail cams. They seem so much easier to set up you wheel and brake. If you get the one's with the little grooves in they should work fine in theory? anyone else had this problem with snail cams?

  6. Anyone else getting De ja vu....? i seem to remember topics on here about trials magazines before... if you thinking of making one most your market for sales is on this website.... and putting an advertisement with poor spelling in new members chat is kind of digging you self a hole ;)

As far as the magazine i dout you will gather enough support to keep it in buisness.... the trials world in the UK is only small it least i think so it wont be a big enough market. The website provides most the info you'll need (Y)

  7. They stopped making the red magura in 05 when they borught out the ones with diffrent leavers (internal TPA) ones. You could sand them down and respray but it would be tricky and the paint wouldnt last long with you foot rubbing on it, as what happens most the time with rim brakes......

I would buy a normal magura in sliver or black, whichever suits, and buy some ultra pimp deng magura mounts :P

Personally, i think the red rim brakes look a bit taccy anyway.

  8. Hiya

When you go out riding do you have some set locations as to which you go? and do you ever just go for an exploration?

I know when i go riding with mates it always seems to be set riding spots...... there all good but get a bit boring after a while, i just fancy a mooch around trying to find some new locations. Have you had the same expirence with the usual riding spots? and always going to the same places.... if so i would like to hear what you found :)

    regards.

  9. I had an old woman come up to me the other day and asking me to teach her trials :P but most the time is a, hav'nt you got anything better to do!....... or stop wrecking the walls that i have to pay for in my council tax  but theres nothing like people aplauding your riding

  10. I am running Zoo! greens at the moment on a smooth rim and they lock well when clean, also i would reckomend the echo pads, they are really good! even on a smooth rim. if you want noise, go with a grind and koxx browns! earpearcing!
