Hi there, I did something pretty similar to mine! but it involved oil I gave the pads a quick sanding with some harsh sand paper, preferably the green textured sand paper, and sanded the pads down until they we're fair harsh. After that i washed the disk with hot soapy water and did the usual bedding in process of riding with the disk on and covering it in water etc untill it was steaming .
