you might well be on the same train as richhill and onzaboyjake
as you get off the train look to your right (or left depending which platfrom the train stops at)and at the very end of the platform and you should see a set of stairs if you go up them it will lead you out to the new street gap, which is across the road from the station.
Also look out for a sign saying access to victoria square/ Victoria square exit
