I hope you find this information helpful and that you will want to compete in some or maybe all of these competitions.

As usual you will need a BIU licence to enter any of these trials. I can email the licence form to you or you can download it from the EBTC website www.ebtc.net

To enter the EBU Championship, which is being held in Sweden this year on 4th & 5th June, you need to contact the EBU delegate, Stuart Matthews. Please also note that there is an entry fee of 30 euros and this has to be sent to Stuart with your entry form.

For the WBC you need to contact the BIU delegate Anthony Rew. Who will have more details when they become available

I also brought the topic up and gave info at the 16 Jan meeting at Barrow Farm. To enter any international BIU and EBU competitions you have to have one of their licences. Have already issued several so contact me asap if you need one

  4. yesterday reminded me of why i stopped riding biu all them years ago..

sections where stupidly long.. to the point where it was a competition on pure fitness and nothing to do with skill

i hit my head on a branch and concurred one point... the bloke then cut it down so no one else had this problem and i kept my mark.. cos thats fair ??

wont be going to these any more

    uci (Y)

The small part of the main branch was removed after your problem - your father was advised you could redo this section but he told me you had already gone back to the car and decided to retire after only completing four sections of the first lap.

  10. BIU 2010 BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP TRIAL

This event is open to all riders either with or without an ACU licence.

The entry fee for riders with a 2010 ACU Trials licence is £20.00

The entry fee for riders without an ACU Trials licence is £25. 00

The 2010 BIU British BikeTrial Championship (1 Round only) will be on Sept.12th at Hook Wood.

Riders can either enter their age related Championship classes and be classified in the championship results or ride an easier route which most suits their ability (“Out of Class”)

The Championship class riders can also elect to ride in a category above their age related class if they want to. The new route they ride will be deemed their Championship category and they will classified in the championship results of the class they have ridden in.

This system for 2010 will ensure that all riders can ride a route that most suits their abilities.

There will be an additional easy route (white cards with a black X) which will be easier than the championship White route so that there will be a suitable route for everybody including young or inexperienced riders to enter.

Entry forms for this competition can be downloaded from the EBTC website www.ebtc.net

The full details of the competition are on the published entry form.

    IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE

RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE WITHOUT AN ACU LICENCE MUST ALSO HAVE THE PARENTAL AGREEMENT FORM (PAGE 2 OF THE ENTRY FORM) COMPLETED BY THEM AND THEIR PARENTS.

Please do not leave it till the last moment though as I am planning to do some touring now that I have retired from work and the sun has started to shine.

  13. I was speaking to Stuart Matthews yesterday, he is the British EBU delegate and he tells me the European BikeTrial Championship in Andorra (22-23 May) has been cancelled. The organisers of the trial had not signed an agreement with the EBU and the final deadline has now past. It is now too late for an alternative event this year.

The three round European Cup Championship trials are not affected and will take place as advertised and there is of course still the World Biketrial Championship this year.
