hello all Monty Brake Spray????????????????? Ive been round this forum seeing allot of people with views on this product and here is some facts you can make your own mind up what you do from there. its made from a resin i seen people say. Yes it is a resin and rocol do it as a belt griper for conveyour belts etc but its not much cheaper neither lol. As a note to everyone interested in using this spray on todays technology, years ago when we had catileaver and center pull type brakes which we still have don't get me wrong but todays ones are much better back then they used to flex, bend, brake pads were rubbish especially in the wet. rims were cheap and well machined rims were very expensive this was a cheap solution to the problem. if you have hardware like that then go for it this stuff does good. On todays market mavic as one of them do a very good machined rim serfice for your brakes to run on so do campagnolio and many others at very low cost a typical mavic 117 or 317 which has precision milled brake faces are about 15 - 20 quid so better perm solution there id say. keep changing your brake block periodically every month depending on use and all is good. invest in some of these effi tech blocks i heard there very good personally i use v-brakes with good quality bloks i shop around everytime i buy some not found a bad lot yet. make sure there the cartridge type as they work best well they do for me. BRAKE BLOCKS don't last too long at the best of times so make sure you use good ones and check and change frequently. So Mavic, Campagnolio go to all this trouble to produce a perfectly ground rim to work with superior blocks which dont cost much and you want to put this old timers product on for what purpose exactly set your brakes up if you don't know how search the net for howto's search for videos i don't need to tell you where to find vedio content and tutorials for that lol. do i? anyway pick what situation you have and act accordingly old tech maybe use it then; new tech new block all good; No invest in sup welded rims and ground surface rims. Look at Mavics what i use(campagnolio just too expensive) learn to setup your brakes properly remember there is a angled pitch you need to set on blocks so the wheel turns block tighter into its motion that works amazingly well once mastered better than spray. locking your wheel is bad not good. Hope this clears the air a bit hehe ride safe all and by every means left right and center have FUN.
