  1. Every time i expect their new video i keep my fingers crossed that they are working on the flow. In the last 2 minutes of the video i noticed a little change in that direction. But the rest of the video has the same problem as the previous ones. They have so much skill, but the video is in my opinion barely watchable because of the lack of flow.

In my opinion, the problem is in the approach to street-trials that these guys have. They are trying to train it as if it's comp trials. It clearly doesn't work. Danny is so far ahead everyone because he rides for himself, and not for the "glory". He spent alot of time riding just doing things on the go, in a playful atmosphere if you know what i mean. That's where the flow comes from. And you can't fake that, either you have it or you don't.

And don't get me wrong, I have huge repect for these guys and I admire their skill. I just think they should find their own style of riding that suits their view on trials better. I would most enjoy a video made from clips of their trial shows. Shows are where i feel their style presents itself best.

  2. This is kind of a stupid question, but i have to be sure.

I used to buy KMCs k710 kool chain in one store, and this year the chain came in a box with "bmx freestyle" written on it.

Is that the same chain that people use for trials, or does KMC make 2 types of kool chains now, for bmx and mtb?

  3. Really ? I'm considering moving out there and hope not be the village idiot like I am over here .

Be sure to let me know if you do. There is no chance you will find us on the streets :) 5 riders in 4,5 million people

5 riders in the whole country? Come on, even in my village there is 1 trials rider. And my village is a hole.

Yep, and in the capital city Zagreb ( population=1 million) there are 2 riders :)

  4. I've been reading the chain tensioner topics for the last 2 hours and it's a freaking jungle of information.

I've been riding the fixed ones and they are sh*t because the sprockets and the chain are never even on all parts.

The spring ones always have the same freaking problems: either they lose the spring effect or the chain gets caught up in the frame around the little wheel.

Please suggest me something that works, something that i can trust. I'm desperate here

(i'm runing a chris king on the back so only the ones that go directly on the dropout fit, and i ride a thick KMC 710 chain so none of those tensioners for thin chains count either)

  5. Everytime i watch his videos i get the same feeling, he has a ton of skill but something is missing.. And its fluidity and style.

In some of the moves he just looks like he's strugling too much. For example that part at the begining when he drops after the backflip. I'm sure that he could have pulled that combo of with allot less recovering hops if he had practised it a bit more. It just looks wrong, like his going ahead of himself on some of those moves. And he tries to do dinamic combos but hes riding is mostly static, he needs to get some speed into those tricks.

Maybe he should slow down with stacking new tricks and perfect the ones he has now, build a style of riding with more speed and fluidity..

    Anyway, thats just my opinion

  6. Checkout GoPro HD helmet cam footage on youtube. Loads of quality footage from dirt jump, to the recent 2010 Redbull Rampage Evolution.

Yea, I've been watching the GoPro videos allot lately, too bad there aren't any trials videos made by them..

@Bikeperson The technical stuff looks really bumpy i agree, i wonder what it would look like from Neil T s point of view for example :)

  7. Yes, well, in the song issue you´re actually right, I wouldn´t have done it, but people are free to do what they want :shifty:

The main thing was the thing of spanish people... I dont agree. I think Spain is one of the places where most riders have their own style.

And other countries riders, well.. I think that sidehopping huge walls with a fisheye, or riding wearing jeans is not copying anyone...is common

style. And come on haha, you should be proud of international riders "copying" the TGS leaders who are british. I woud , if plenty of people start buying koxx skys

    and wearing yellow helmets :giggle:

    Well said.

It's just the extreme cases of copying that bother me.

Nevertheless, apologies to all spanish riders that got infendet.

  8. Firstly mate, Im not the guy on the video, you should have read the post before posting.

Secondly, are the wings from Neil? No man, they´re not. Omar has being using the wings for a long time, and not because of Neil, come on..

And what stupid shit is that spanish riders copy Damon and Neil? Excuse me? Give me ONE example..(please). haha that is amusing, is not exactly SPANISH riders

    who copy Damon or Neil..

    Just make that clear <_<

The only thing I agree with you is in the song. However, that song doesn´t belong to Damon..

I think I´ve made myself clear.

I know it's not you on the video. I thought he was reading this aswell.

I'm sorry but I don't believe that it's a coincidence that they have the same wings.

I admit I may have went too far with the spanish thing. I don't really know from which country do they come from, but there are allot of copycats from countries like brasil, argentina and spain aswell (your friend being the example)

The song doesn't belong to damon but it's common sense that using the song from the latest tgs video from one of the best tgs riders out there isn't going to make a good impression.

  9. Why did you put the song from DW's video and why do you use NT's logo?

Alot of riders from Spain do this, why? Don't you people have your own opinion?

And someone mentioned this before, you are clearly runing before knowing how to walk, and to make things worse, you are doing it without a helmet.

  10. Good video!

One thing that bothers me though, how come at the start you struggle with a 10 and a half foot gap, that has some drop, and then at the end claim to be easily gapping 11 foot flat?

I'm not saying you're lying, but questions have to be asked after a few of the tricks you've pulled. Mainly speaking of the clip of you pivoting on a post in the last video, that was clearly played backwards AND I've heard in one of your last video's you used a kicker for a hook but filmed it so it couldn't be seen.

Just some thoughts I'd like to be addressed

On the same subject about that 11ft bench-to-bench gap, isn't that the same gap that Neil does in Adamant-4 video (the vid where he starts of doing that pedal hook over that white wooden fence which cause a bit of fuss on here) where it was then measured at 10ft.5ins, which is also filmed at the same angle using fisheye lens. hopefully neil will answer to that because he stated in his most recent post here that he can get pics.

    What the hell is this?

Seriously.. Having some childhood dreams of becoming lawyers?

You seem as two very disturbed individuals, leave the man alone.

  11. almost all was great. Didnt like cheating with measuring. But 180 to rail is amazing

It's not cheating. You saw that the string was loose so you knew it wasn't as big as it said on the edge. It would be cheating if he hadn't shown the loose string while he was filming the measurment.
