  1. Yeh I know the area, how many of you guys are down there and what are the spots like for riding might bring my bike with me next time I'm down if you fancy meeting up?

There's 4 of us in Frome and only 1 in Trowbridge at the moment. We usually just ride Frome and Trowbridge but sometimes bristol when the weather is right. As far as spots in Frome goes, there is a few good spots. Usually gives us a good 6 hours of riding.

Drop me a PM next time your going to be in the area and I'll let you know if we will be riding. Will be good to ride with someone different. :)

  2. It is possible to have a 22t chainring on those cranks providing it has the 4 smaller holes inside the spider. The bash ring would go on the 4 larger spaced holes where your current chainring is and the 22t ring would go on the smaller spaced holes in the middle if that makes sense. As far as I'm aware the 104mm is the spacing between the chainring mounting holes.

    Hope this helps

  3. Yeah they has a Grimeca-esque lever back in the day. Also seem to remember the caliper being a dark grey colour.

    EDIT: there she is

I was in a local bike shop the other day and they had a brand new set of these still in the boxes at £140 each along with a matching front and rear mech to the brakes. The brakes look amazing in the flesh.

  4. Was out riding last year. Was in town and my crossover snapped right at the barb. Just as I rode up to the front of my house, I forgot my brake didn't work and went to go up to back on a curb. Obviously brake didn't work and the barb tore a hole in my thigh. Went to hospital and they said the hole was too big to stitch so they bandaged me up and I couldn't ride/walk for nearly 3 weeks. Worst thing was when I got home and found my flesh from my leg on the barb on my rear brake  Brought a braided crossover the next day and never looked back.

  5. I have owned a pair of these (on a stock) and I thought they were brilliant until I did an up to front and both legs snapped above the 4-bolt mounts.

If you're a light rider I would say go for them but if you are quite a heavy rider like me I would say go for Echo Urbans.

    Hope this helps

  7. Looks lurvly

I wouldn't get a white stem, it would sort of be too white

How'd you find those forks flex wise?

Compared to my viz lights the forks feel pretty stiff. The viz were quite flexy though.

looks good! interesting chain tensioner set up. is it working well like that? chain is very short for vertical dropouts

The drive does feel a bit rough because of the tensionner, but the only reason the chain is so short is because I did have perfect tension but the chain stretched =( I am thinking of going 18:16 instead of 18:15 because it did feel a bit nicer.

  8. Just got a few new parts for my Pure.

  9. No idea mate, it came from steve via paypal. From what i hear it's one of the best out there.

Ok cheers. I just wasn't sure. What do you think of square taper middleburns? I got some with my first frame and I have never used them. Im having some problems with my Isis Sl's at the moment so i thought i would try the middleburns for once. I have brought a neon carbon taper bb from tarty as well. I have never heard of any problems but it would just be re assuring to know they aren't going to break on me.

    Thanks

    Sam
