  1. took my forks to a local bike place and there was hardly any thread left on the holes so they re-tapped it and whacked me some v studs in - result - all sorted - i am now running dual maggy - HS33 rear and HS11 front!!

topic can be closed if the admin so desire

    Jon

  2. have pphoned around and there are only two shops that are cannondale stockists - has anyone got any spae ones lying around that they dont want or need or have any other ideas where i can get them - the sooner the better!!

    Cheers,

    Jon

  3. cheers john - i phoned a place that stocks them and they recon they all different lengths and shit so if i phone with that part number do you think they will be able to get me them or will i have to get them form cannondale them-selves!?

  4. bugger so i couldnt just go to halfrauds and get a set or a bike shop and get a set - surely they would be able to get the right ones for the forks?! need my brake mounted now so i can ride again - itching to get out like!!

can anyone find any geo details about the forks and/or mounts?!

    Jon

  5. right guys and girls - i have some fatty forks and need to mount my maggy on them, i have the evo mounts but just looked and there are no bolts / pins in the forks to be able to fit anything to - does that make sense??

i have stolen this pic from google and circled the bolts / pins that i am missing - litterally the brake mounts i would gues - any ideas where to get some and or how much - need them asap

do they jusat screw in and out and would any forks with v-mounts have them that i could nick as i know where there could be some forks with them in - just need to know if it is as simple as screw them out the old fork and whack em in mine then mount the brake on as usual!?

  6. personally i think you are bang on mate - deffo think these people that ARE guilty of posessing these images should be made public and also you should be able to know where they are (especially if you are a parent) so that you know your kids are safe or at least you can keep an eye on them if you know they are around your kids (i am speaking as a dad)

but at the same time i think they should wait untill they get the guilty verdict as as you say they could be innocent and nothing more come of it but they will be tarred with the same brush

there we go that is my view

  7. think you seem a little uptight to be honest mate - the rules are there for a reason and to be fair they a good set of rules

but - anywho - get yourself validated and there are loads of bikes in the fo-sale section and if the one you are looking at goes before you get validated i am more than sure there will be another exactly like or VERY similar within a few days - there constantly seems to be a good flow of bikes and frames here

keep your cool, post where you can and show the staff that you are going to be a good member of the site and you will get validated quick and then be able to go for the bike/frame you want - argumentative attitude will get you knowhere on TF - sorry mate

  8. some do allow you to do it online - dig all your paperwork out for the card and see if there is any sites on there where you could go - i have a catialone card and all my payments and things are done online - its soooo easy - and you can keep track of things soooo well - hope that helps

but as revolver said they will send you a bill out and there are different ways to pay on the statement - sometimes you can even phone up and make a payment over the phone

  9. must agree with the statement about comparing them to modern day bikes and the fact that in their day they were brill - was deffo "fun" to ride and sure they will still be some about somewhere!! wouldnt mind one again - maybe not to ride but more for a nostalgia kinda thing!! haha!!

Just out of interest - does anyone know anyone with one still or does anyone still have one!? i had to get rid of mine as i fooked it in a car crash - DOH - never mind!!

  11. i did have a vid of me doing some VERY basic stuff - will see if i can dig it out or not - i think i may have lost it when i moved house though - will deffo have a look for it though!!

yeah the top pull brakes were FANTASTIC - NOT - they were pretty pants to be fair!!

    Jon

  12. lol - if you look at the headset on it - it was fun if the bolts werent tightend properly like and went big as the bars would move forward and that can be scary!!

was a canny little bike to ride when i was just starting out - wasnt the lightest of things and with the forks being the double things you couldnt get much turn on them but other than that - i found it a lovley little bike to ride!!
