  1. Hey there,

I had echo pure forks and was running a 180mm hope trials on it.

180mm is pretty much standard and will fit most trials forks without any adapters or anyhting like that. I pretty much just got it in the mail and then bolted it straight on and it was good to go. Plenty of power in the 180mm hope too. I have only seen bigger on those 203mm avid mechanical ones, but I dont really like mechanical brakes so i never needed a rotor so large. Given that your on an inspided, you wont need anyhting bigger than 180mm anyway.

Cheers for the info, looks like ill be ordering a 180mm hope after the easter bank hols!

  2. hi,

well i have been looking round the forum and the interent and there are so many bikes to chose from.

As i am new to all of this i dont have a clue what to look for.

Please could someone give me a list or pointers as to what would be suitable for a first bike.

I have been looking at quitea few onza bikes but as i say i dont really have a clue what i am looking at.

I will have a budget of about £250 and i wouldn't mind buying second hand as long as someone was to tell me what to look out for in second hand bikes.

    Thanks in advance

Diaomnd back Kabuki monos are a good starter bikes i had one was good learner quite light reasonable spec. One is for sale on here. Although i doubt you will be able to contact the seller if you are a pre member as i have found because you havnt been validated yet!!!

  4. i dont mean this in a bad way...but if you could scroll through a couple of pages on the new members forum and heck out the topics that seem relevant...it should give you a pretty good idea!

the question is asked in one way or another repeatedly on a daily basis...and even with lots of more relevant details within the question, so much comes down to personal preference

Ok Chris cheers, will look through them at some point from your earlier post yesterday about inspired bikes I've seen one on this forum but unfortunately cant do anything about it as I'm not allowed o post outside the new members bit. looks like its ebay for me!

  5. i have had my hope mono trial (rear) for about 3-4months now and the bolt that connects the hose to the piston constantly keeps coming loose nomater what i do to tighten it and the fluid leaks out and ruins my rotor and pads each time (it has happened around 3times now) have tried a new bolt but still nothing works (N) , any sudjestions on what to do?

    thanks.

If its the bolt that connects the hose to the caliper body it may be a dodgy copper olive/washer which is put there to stop leakage. Sometimes they are damaged because copper is quite soft and need replacing. If it is this you will need to rebleed the break. Try not to over tighten the bolt as this may cause damage to the washer.

    Hope this helps? Paul

  6. check out the for sale section, theres some great inspired deals going if you dont want to go brand new!

i ride one, its great...never had a true trials bike, but its that fun i dont think i ever will :)

Will do, thanks. I've had a 26" diamond back for a while, just sold it as it was a little too large for me! I think second hand is what i'll go for, they are a bit too much new.

    Cheers.
