You totally can waterbleed hydraulic RIM brakes. I am successfully running water bled maguras. Water doesn't compress, but if you bleed disc brakes with water, it boils and the steam compresses.

You mean pivot? Try getting some rotating momentum by turning the handlebar before pulling your brakes. Front wheel stays still while pivoting. Keep weight over the handlebars. Practice.

Also experiment by pulling too hard and landing on your feet. Maybe the biggest obstacle in trials is the one in between your ears. Fear of falling. Also refer to this.

Those pads are really something. I ran Onza Citrus pads on smooth and LGM came and kiked their butt. On smooth rim. Awesome. Going to grind because summer aint here yet so rain(even snow).

This is propably totally noob question, but: If i grind my rim, will my pads(TNN LGM CNC) disintegrate in a week or do these take the braking?

If you are going for the EVO II adapter, make sure that your rim is narrow enough. The widest possible wont fit! Learned that the hard way... The first EVO fits wider rims but isn't so nice.

Tap water has air in it just like carbonated water has co2. There might be a way to get rid of it with some addition though. My brake is fine after a bath bleed, but for how long? *insert dramatic chipmunk here* EDIT: After some investigations i found this. Air Solubility to Water with dfferent temperatures. So bleed your brake with boiling water and off you go.

About that bath bleeding: There is always little air in the water especially if it is fresh tap water. I speculate that if you leave your bike to stand for winter, the air "un-dissolves" from the water and the brake needs a rebleed. My brakes had mountains of air in them after spending a winter in my room. While the brake is used the pressure keeps the air dissolved in the water.

This aint bullshit. Seriously check your cranks and pedals for tightness before every ride. Just do it. Please! I learned this the hard way. F*cked up my cranks.

You could turn the chain around so the split link wouldn't hit the bash or just lose the split link and replace it with normal one. In order to turn the chain around you must take the chain off.

Hi I'm a guy from Finland who likes to do trials. Finally got money to buy a decent bike and the parts are on the way. My bike will be Onza Limey 3 with mostly Trialtech components. I think it would be easiest to sidehop with a mod. Bigger wheels are better for going in rolling and forwards kinda things. Mods go better sideways because they are lighter and more agile.

You can try oiling the piston. Because the water doesn't lubricate the pistons as the oil does they get lazy over time. If that doesn't do the trick there must be air in the system. Loads of it. So try lubricating the pistons and remember to redo the lubrication every now and then to keep em going.

I don't really know what kind of paint are we talking about, but paint could be assumed to wear out an form dust which may decrease braking performance. On my experience anodised finish on my echo rims did that.
