  1. That kind of negates the first question.

I had a mk2 gti and it was the best car I ever owned, but it did often break down on me. My friend also had one and it was the most reliable car he's ever owned. If it's been looked after then they are fine. If its had a conversion done to it, hopefully it'd be done right and had a general overhaul.

Was it ok to live with, with such a basic interior compared to most modern cars?

  2. Has anyone on here had a mk2 golf gti? If so what are they like as a daily? Are they fine to live with everyday? The one I'm looking at also has a 1.8t conversion so it's quick enough

  3. I lefft school at 16 and managed to get an apprenticeship as a mechanical technician with oil company Aker Solutions. I'm mainly at college for the first year where I will get my HNC in mechanic engineering but i enjoy it! It's a great company to work for, they treat you very well and we often get team building days out go-karting and other activities which is awesome! The pay is very good for a first year apprentice and there are so many opportunities within the company for when I finish my apprenticeship.

  4. How low do you want to go/budget? On standard dampers, meh, they'll be unmatched and may give crap ride. On a proper setup springs/dampers will likely be better than cheap coilies but cost more.

    Edit; Purdon. Win.

It's only going to at lowered 30/40mm.

Would it be better getting lowering springs and better dampers?

  5. Someone told me this earlier an I couldn't figure out, anyone able to do it?

You see a jacket that is £97 but you don't have any cash, so you borrow £50 from your mum and £50 from your dad= £100. You buy the jacket and your left with £3 change so you give £1 to your mum and £1 to your dad and keep £1 for yourself. You now owe your mum and dad £49 so £49+£49= £98 & your £1 makes £99 so where's the missing £1?

  6. My mum has a mk1 audi tt 1.8t and the turbo inlet pipe keeps coming loose meaning it needs tightened every couple of weeks which is a right pain, has anyone got any suggestions on how to stop it coming loose? We've tried locotite and that didnt work either.
