  1. Thanks for that - the coaching from danny was really to attract beginners, but like the biggest, highest idea aswell!
  2. Hey guys, is there such a thing as a Street Trial where riders compete - I can find lots of natural stuff, but no street? (The reason I ask, (apart from loving trials) is that my Events Company are putting together some proposals for urban / city based events for a major city council) If such events don't exist: Would you be up for competing or just attending? What would be the best format - similar to natural trials i.e A number of timed sections or something more radical? What would make the event off the map? Would beginners like coaching from Danny Mac? All ideas welcome...........
  3. Does anyone know if a surly singulator will fit on a Mbk T1000 with a Chris King Classic hub and chris King fun bolts? If not, any chain tensioner recommendations?
  4. Check out your local trials club - even if you ride street, practice days and events will speed up your progress
  5. Last week there was a knock on my door. Much to my surprise it was Chris Barry (Arnold Rimmer) with a bottle of wine for me????????? Apparently I'd helped his wife, Beats a the Jovi Witnesses.
  6. I'm 37 and only started about 2 months; albeit could already wheelie my mountain bike. I try and ride everyday for 20 mins and once a week for a few hours - starting to see some real progress now. Also, visited Essex Trails Club on a practice day which really helped a lot Where are you based?
  7. I think natural stuff more than street is for me. I tried a new Monty 231(?) (£2k+) very nice and a very colorful Koxx which wasn't so good They do feel more like my mountain bike and would be much easier to roll over things i guess. So, what's a good 26" for that style? Si
  8. First post. I'm 37 and recently started trails. I purchased a Monty 20" on eBay which is good to ride, but I can't help thinking (at my age & 6' tall) I'd be better off on a 26" Any thoughts? Or recommendations for a 26" I also like my Eagle Claw bash plate & I haven't seen any 26" bikes with one - are there any? Si
  9. I'm 37 and started riding a few weeks ago! Never to old to have fun. Recommend a used bike (maybe from eBay) so you won't be upset when you stack it. I recently contacted my nearest club - Essex (over an hours drive) and went to a practice day - very worth while and great people. Plenty of tips, advice etc. Really did motivate me. Si
