  1. Loosen every spoke off until you see a tiny bit of thread and then go around giving each spoke 1turn each until you get complete tension. After 6-7 turns some spokes will be hard to turn while some will be easy. Don't skip any. If they all have the same amount of turns then the wheel should end up relatively true without needing much fine tuning.

  2. I agree with Tom, its not old. its still in this millenium, early 90's marins are where'd i'd start calling things old.

Still it looks ok, as long as it works.

Also, i think the only thing you need to change on that at all is the forks.

    I'd keep the XT stuff.

Nahh how ever i ride i can't get on with shimano to be fair :(

    Always used sram before.

And shall get forks soon as i have some decent money and get a good set of bombers (:

Then just gonna buy the halo tornado rims separate and build it up.

Once this beast is finally done, shall wack a couple of pictures up (:

  5. Right, i work in my LBS so can order from most companies.

I don't really know much on parts wise whats good or whats not to have.

After some 26" prefably white wheelset, 9speed cassette needed.

So yeah, I was looking at the halo tornado wheels, but there out of stock till the end of next month.

    So ideas, hit me?

I have a 10 year old muddy fox slalom pro, used for veryyyyyy light xc, then some trails, jump, you get the jist of what i mean (:

£200 being top end maybe £250 for both wheels,

    Ideas please,

    luke (:

  6. I heard not out till end of this year but marketed as a 2011 model.

Worst part is I want one now because I need a new frame and don't want to wait.

the new year for bike models starts at a similar time to school years do, september and october is when a lot of bike are released.

  7. i got it from i am ze best

Yeah thats connor who i sold it to (:

Looks good execpt you dont need that booster on it there amazingly stiff and for the love of god shorten the front hose.

    they ride soooo nice

yeah you did with this, it flexs like f**k haha.

  8. Didn't you just start again last week?

well i bought this bike in january, rode for few months. But nobody rides local anymore so i don't enjoy it :(

But this XC im building up is a old school muddy fox, back in the day when they were good.

And this frame wasnt released to the public from what im told, only for there sponsored riders.

and the geo is kinda old school trials aswell.

EDIT. i dont know if i was right.

but the frame is a muddyfox climax,

    :D

  9. Should all the 20" riders get a BMX aswell then?

    I didn't say that did i?

Do you not like BMXey riding, or do you not like BMXey riding on a 24" bike?

I like bmx riding, i just think if your going to ride like your on a bmx then ride a bmx.

Just my view and shiz (:

  10. I knew that was gonna be said :P

well, i dont like streety 24" at all.

    too bmxy.

in my opinion, i use a trials bike for trials. not for streety moves which a bmx is for.

everyone intitled to there own opinion though.

But to be honest i pretty much ride along with tgs for trials.

but im not like one move thing, because i also, well did ride bmx. so i see how fun it is.

i jsut think it should stick to one bike and thats it (:

  11. I dont know weather it's been said or not because i cant be asked to read the thread,

Tried moving about the spacers on the vee pads?

Less spacers on the inside will make the callipers closer.. meaning higher. Meaning more clearance.

+ they look like there sticking too far out anyways..
