Sorry, still not there. My rear dropouts are set-up for a Maxle system. Therefore the LHS dropout is threaded and the RHS open. I wan't to keep my existing axle, but find a hub that will allow it to be pushed through. Thanks for your help anyway.

Nope, Sorry, I still don't see it. The 12mm axle on my bike is a seperate component to the hub. The whole thing slides out. Not my bike but see picture below.

Remember that a 12mm bolt through axle has to be able to slide out for wheel removal. For this reason i don't think your solution would work?

I was going to wait and post into the appropriate section, but if you're asking.... I run my DH bike with a singlespeed set-up. Currently, I use a spaced out 135x12mm Hope Pro2 Cassette hub, i.e. the standard version, not the Trials version. This looks a bit rubbish so i would like to use a proper single speed hub. This would hopefully give the added benefit of a stronger zero dish rear wheel. Unfortuately, there seems to be no 12x135mm single speed MTB hubs available. The Hope Pro2 Trials is only 10mm or QR. The only one that could be converted is a super expensive DT hub. So i have been looking into other avenues. Trials bikes seem to use products from different manufacturers to MTB. I know trials bike do not use 12mm axles, but I've seen some that use a much bigger internal axle that is machined down to 10mm at the dropout. Just like this, but unfortunately it's not disc compatible. My current thinking is to obtain a hub like this then machine a sleeve with 12mm internal dimension to fit my axle through. So really in Summary, tell me about Trails hubs that you think could fulfil my requirement. Also, I need to be able to run cogs between 12T to 16T.
