Caged pedals are stupidly grippy, but you got to where pads when you ride. I found out the hard way
personly i prefer my good old dmr v8 never had a problem with them

Well the standared gearing is 22 to 18 as you say;but lots of people upgrade to 18 to 15 or 16.
i personaly prefer 18 16 but its down to persnal preferance.

It might, also be woth cheking the chain line.
By moving the spacires on the hub. To make shure the chain is as straght as posibal, if you see what i mean.

Well, whatever you get try and get it second hand because it will be cheaper and at a higher spec.
A couple of good 20" starter bikes to bair in mind are tha onza t-pro and the onza t-bird.
You can pike theas up quite cheep now.

whats the point in doing that to the t pro, you could of sold that.

Snapped the chain stay, clean off the bb housing (dont no what its called). Iv crossed the thred when fiting a new bb, and craked the bb housing.
I also broke 2 of my friends fws, in a day and skipped somone elces. It rely wasnt my day im such a basher

Ah right, yer i didnt realise it was for a mod.
dont no enything bout mods rely.
I would of thort 12 or 13 on a mod.

The standered gearing for trials is, 22 front 18 rear.
But most people who run a 18 tooth front, go with 15 or 16 tooth rear.
This means you will be peddling like mad over a distance but, this you get the short bursts of speed for trials.

chain tool
spare chain links
spare maggie pads
allen key set
puncture repair kit
pump
tape
zip-ties
small knife
and bandage (because i use to impale my shins with my peddles) not fun
food and water
