I run a light grind, with some tough pads (ashima, new brand) and a bit of tar. Runs perfectly, and is sharp and grips well. Also, for the record, My brake is water bled. Being water bled, the brake is more responsive, and feels much nicer than an oil bleed. Only downside is they need bleeding more. Danny

You bled it? Don't you mean I bled it in a bucket of disease ridden river water ?

Get an old wheel, and practice different techniques and angles, until you find one that suits you. Also, make sure your grinding disc is sharp... A blunt disc will effect the sharpness of the grind.

Hmm... I think I could maybe get £50 for the frame and headset and BB, and around £30 for the forks. Ebay may be the best option, people on there are always fighting to win, and sometimes they get carried away

We were riding in Haworth with D A N N Y^^ and the rest, when i slipped onto a cable tie holding my brake cable to the frame. Ripped all the back of my pants & boxers but that was from Feather wedging me while I bled a brake in a barrel of river water. Had to tie a jumper round and let the arm dangle down the rip. I had to push practically all the way into Keighley. I looked a complete pr**k.

First, I am in no way trying to sell this frame. I was just wondering how much I should ask for it, as i am hoping to buy a new bike soon. It has the usual scratches on the down tube, chain stay in very good condition. Only one small deng in the down tube. In good condition overall. It is the upgraded version: weighs less than the original. The year is 06. I would sell with bottom bracket (original onza one I think) Onza Lite Guy forks, and onza headset. Thanks

Ok, I have twisted the TPA down and the lazy piston is going back in properly. The only problem is that the lever comes in too close to the grips. I will move the pistons in in the morning. But for now, its tea time thanks everyone

No, I tried turning my TPA down, and then back up again, and it made no difference. Thanks for suggesting though !

Hi... My front rim is painted on my bike.. It was done properly and looked great, but after a while it did start to flake off and look shabby. On the back rim, however, it did not flake off. I think the main reasons for this are: 1)The paint on the front was too thick 2)The front rim had painted sidewalls, as it is a disc wheel, whereas the rear had a grind. The sidewalls on the front took more damage maybe? 3)It had side drilling on the front, And air got behind the faint ad this made it flake off? So, I think if you do it properly, don't do the paint too thick, and grind it once you are done (Only if Maguras are in use) then you will be fine. Also, Don't use a front Onza rim because I think these are the oly ones with side drilling in them

Hey Guys, As you've guessed from the title, I have a lazy piston. For those who don't know, a lazy piston is when you pull your brake, and the pad comes out, but doesn't go back in, and it rubs on the rim. I've had a look on the wiki, and I can't take my brake apart like it says and pump it out because I don't have a tube/ bleed kit. Is there a way I could do it without a tube, that wouldn't take a long time? Also, my brake is water bled, and I re-bled it to see if that would sort the piston out... It didn't So, any help would be appreciated... Thanks, DannyBaz x

I know what you mean about the hoses. I have popped mine 3 or 4 times since Christmas. And, as i decided that the hoses were rubbish, I just water bled my brakes. I find it is harder to pop them, and it saves you a hell of a lot of money having them re bled. And as an added bonus with water bled brakes- They feel nicer and are more snappy and sharp than oil bled brakes. This is because you are bleeding them underwater and no air can possibly get in, unless you do it wrong. Oil bled brakes always have some air in due to the syringe and bleeding kit etc. So, when you get the braided hoses, fit them and bleed them underwater. There is a guide on the wiki, but I don't really like that method. What I do is: Put the TPA on the lowest setting. Then take out both bleed bolts. (Lever and slave piston) Put the brake underwater. Put your finger over the hole on the lever, press the lever in, take your finger off the hole and release the lever. Repeat until no air is coming out of the slave piston. Do up all the bolts UNDERWATER. Refit your brake. That's all there is to it This takes around 10-15 minutes once you have the hang of it. (With taking off/ re fitting brake, obviously) Danny

I used to ride a Monty on Natural and street, and it was a good, all round bike. You just have to be careful not to land on the frame too much, as they are quite weak. Also, I have rode a GU and they were extremely nice to ride, but only rode it lightly on street for a about 10-15 minutes, bu tit was a very nice bike. So, like you said you like street more, I would go for the GU. They are strong, and look very nice with a set of coloured rims on Danny
