Nice concept, needs a new version though IMO, instead of a picture I'd use line drawings and different components on there so people can choose the spec. It's an awful lot of work though! It's the sorta project I'd like to get in on, but just not enough time atm.
Making it 3D would be nice aswell.
Good work though! Very good start.
i agree that would all be pretty cool, but i still think with the option to change components colour as well as frame colour would come in handy when choosing new parts. also kinda fun to play around with that sort of stuff

The final test for this would be to try to build the Tarty Rainbow bike...
Can you set it up to choose colours from a bigger palette so people can match what they have more exactly? I wouldn't worry about putting in specific frames until everything else is done though - the point is to see how colours will look together rather than drawing a specific bike.
check the website out again and there is a much larger pallet, and even a trials bike!

I have had a re thought of my original idea so here goes:

good idea
would b able to see what colour parts go with a frame before you order the parts and then decide you dont like it
yeah as i said we havent spent long on it so havent put any components on.
-
i have uploaded it on to the internet and if you like it i can create more colours and add colours for different components other than the frame. or even a trials bike

why are alot of frames either disc or four bolt because i would like frames to have the capability of both. its very frustrating when choosing a new frame

a curb? ad then...a larger curb like next to a bus stop and maybe a small wall? think about it this way, why not ride out in the streets which is what trials is really about? you may meet some local riders, it will be more fun and u don't have your parents watching you out the window. also it costs nothing and there's no lugging around needed?
just seems to be common sense to me

i would like to stretch my lobes only to about 8-10mm, how long do you think this will take to stretch to this big. also if i get my ear pierced how long do i wait until i start stretching?

difference in geometry with a 24 inch trials and a 24 inch jump bike. i realy dont know the difference so please help!
-
some people say the old ones are more powerfull but i prefer the new ones. nicer leaver feeling and they look nicer. also why not save yourself 30 quid send them back, buy them from tarty and use that 30 quid on some pads?
-
ive not heard good things on those red pads, did you pay £89.99 or dollers? because tarty are 60ish? they ar also the old version on discount cycles
-
I've been lookig at rims but i can only find the one i want in a 20" for the front and the same rim for the rear is a 19 inch does it make a differance?
sorry if its an akward question
you can have different rims on front and back and it will look totally fine and wont make any difference on performance

That is crazy how people keep them, Does your freind handle Tarrie e.g. stroke it (or what ever you do to snakes lol).
only as crazy as keeping a dog, how many people are attacked and killed by dogs in a year. il post pics of my snake sometime .
-
just post up images of your reptiles and ask for any advice. just a though on a topic because i am getting quite interested in reptile keeping. i own a cornsnake and will soon be getting a royal/ball python.
il post up images of my snake soon. cheers

This thread sucks, the majority of new riders will start, learn and progress on shit bikes. Young riders who are still in school and can't afford to buy expensive bikes (and don't have flush parents either) will ride bikes that could be deemed 'the worse trials bike ever'.
As far as I'm concerned there can be nothing more disheartening than saving every penny you've got to buy a trials bike only to come into this thread and have people saying it's utter bollocks.
When I built up my first trials bike I thought it was the best thing in the world, it was perfect. I look at pictures of it now and it was an abomination. I was proud of it though, and that's the way it should be, I think.
i totaly agree. i think this thread should be closed

if its th taper part thats broke why dont u bodge it with a coke can for the time being until you get some cranks. at least itl get you out on your bike.
-
is that the 08 hitman, and why is it the worst bike?? im only asking because i was looking to buy one but i decided not too
to be honest he probly only said it because its the cheapest bike on tarty. and he probly has never ridden one. but. if you are thinking of buying one were u thinking of buying a new full bike because you would get alot more for your money if you bought second hand
