  1. For what has felt like years, and having gone throught loads of minor niggles... the bike is nearly done. It needed a few dents braizing in and the rear 4 bolt mount threads tapping. My mate then got the Frame & Forks powdercoated gloss white for me. Nothing has seemed to go right through the build and has been frustrating at times, so I'll be glad to see the finished product. Can't wait to ride it, always wanted one of these frames back in the day and like the old skool geo!

Frame: Pashley GHZ - Powder coated white - Gold Pashley graphics

Forks: Echo Urbans - Powder coated white

    Headset - King 'Rasta'

    Bars - Trialtech sport

    Stem - Try-all Nuc

Front Wheel - Try-all Disc hub with Try-all rim

Rear wheel - Hope Pro2 with Echo Urban rim

    Front Brake - Hope Try-all

Rear Brake - Avid SD 5 V with onza 4 Bolt adapters

    Cranks - Middleburn

Pedals - Sha***d Try-alls (going to be replaced soon)

Tires - Maxxis Holyroller front 2.1 & rear DMR Moto digger 2.3

All i'm waiting for now is a Tensile tensioner, bang a new chain on and thats it!! Things like this have been slow because of the postal strike & the powder coater had the frame and forks for weeks. I must thank the great guy's at Tartybikes as usual for their brilliant service, being REALLY helpfull and for their A1 advice. Also thanks to my mate Sam at the edge cycleworks in Chester for helping me with a couple of things too. I'll post more pics when its finished!

  2. The company I was doing my work placement on had some, as they were developing pads for them. They were soooooo easy to break! It was like snapping a rich tea biscuit :D I'm not sure if they are all like that!?

  3. Hi,

Has anyone had anyproblems with alighning there tensioner with there rear sprocket on an Echo TR rear hub?

Ive had to put a Rohloff on as the Echo TR Tensioner skips as ive got a 14t cog on the back, but now it just wont line up correctly with the sprocket and keeps popping off.

The frame is a Gu ST 26"

    Any help would be great

    Thanks

    Danny

Bring it round mine Danny we'll sort it out! ;)

  4. Personal experience; 125's Id be looking at a Gas Gas or the little 125f/175f Scorpa. Gas Gas are a very good bike, especially to learn on because the PRO model is very light. Scorpa's are brilliant. Sherco's be careful ! They are not the most quality bike! I would never have a beta personally, they p**s petrol from the carb and have seen 2 catch fire. And someone I know ripped the engine out of one riding over a log..... No thanks! I know there are some die hard Beta fans on here who'd argue that! :D

Gas Gas are good so long as you look after them - I've had 10 and never had any major problems with any of them. the last one I ran up about 2500 miles on the engine and never had to strip it.

Try going to some events and talking to people, maybe even blag a few go's on different bikes.

  5. Thanks for your reply, I will try.

    Thanks

No problem, if you get stuck PM me.

I'd like to make the point that the piston in mine swelled using the proper mineral oil, not water! There must be a small design issue with the piston, being slightly porous?
