  1. This might be a bit of a daft question, but how many of you straighten your own rims? i regularly keep bending me rear rim and the brakes keep binding. (N) How easy is it to true up? i can never work out which way to turn the spokes?? Hope you can help me :P

    Cheers Jord

  2. No there not, not even close to that. Some top spec bikes don't even go for that second hand.

I'd say £100- £150 absolutely tops there very basic and not all that good.

As many people have said a good bike to start on would be an Onza, a second hand T-pro could cost you £150-300 depending on the spec.

I can guarantee a large number of people on the forum started on a T-pro or an Onza T series bike.

    +1

I started, and still on an onza T-pro! admittedly only the old style frame but ive learnt all the basics on it etc, and even though im looking to upgrade the frame id quite happily reccomend the onza! =]

im probably not much help but just thought id say

  3. Hi guys

    Just a quick update .....

I've tightened up the crank bolt as much as possible..... I think it starts alright then gets worse..... I think it works it way lose ...... Help!

Could you take a picture of the crank on/off next to the bb for people to see? Because if it is the crank arm that has rounded, someone will be able to diagnose it from a pic!

  4. Nice riding! ! Ive been riding roughly the same amount of time as you on a mod, but struggle with gaps like between your pallets so fair play!

Anyone who can help, i ride the old style t-pro frame at the moment, and was wondering if a newer frame would help me overcome problems with gaps etc or would it not make much difference?

  5. i use rim brakes, agreed useless in the wet and snow! haha i just use onza pads, tar with water/anti freeze mix. Been out the last couple of days though and theyre fine.... but if they do start playin up i jus get the rim hot by riding with brake on and it tends it pick up and start to lock better!!! =]
