  1. I've been riding an mod for 2 years now, I've ridden an Onza rip, Zoo python 04, and now a czar 08...

I'm becoming more interested in the 24" bikes, but am unsure if i should make the transition from mod to 24"?

Has anybody else gone to 24" from mod? Would like to know how it went for them... Also what would be the differences in mods and 24"?

I might be selling up my Zoo frame and the czar to buy an Onza Zoot 24" as it seems quite cheap, is this a bad idea?

Would be grateful if somebody could help :)

I'm in the same position at the moment, so I would like to see what advice you get from people.

  2. Riding through my local town the other day me and about 5 BMXers (as i'm the only trials rider in my area as far as I know) went past a load of pub going 40 year olds.

Man 1: its the local BMX crew :D

Man 2: More like the no seat BMX crew.

    Made me giggle, haha.

my next door neibour who is about 70-80 watches me on my bike all the time and when i forst got my trials bike (24) he starting watching and said why is your seat so low, its pointles in having one, you wouldnt get me sitting on that, it would go up my arse and my wife wouldnt be to pleased that im making gay love to a seat on my next door neibours bike. lol he is a ledgend.

    oh my O_O

  3. The idea is that we could make a general rule book to the length of parts and how they affect the bike (such as having a larger wheelbase makes the bike harder to rotate and what the wheelbase is).

Or maybe how 20",24" and 26" bikes differ in ease of doing different tasks.

When I first looked into getting a trials bike such a thing as this would have helped me get on my way as I had no people to ask for help. :/

And again this situation has arose when thinking about buying new parts for my bike.

Also asking for help on the new members chat or another would help me but not help others that will come in the future.

I would create this list myself but my knowledge of bikes is limited and probably incorrect.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

  4. I have noticed that there are quite a few BMX creators to see if a certain colour scheme would work on a bike. Im interested in this kind of software as i am in the process of designing a new clolour scheme for my bike.

I was wondering if there was a similar piece of software for Trials bikes or a web page to create on.

I have had a look around on search engines with no succes so far...if you know of any kind of creator im looking for exists for trials i would appriciate it if your shared it with me.

    Thanks for reading :D

  5. I'm probably looking at dirt more, as I live near some good dirt jump places...

About street- what exactly do you do in street on dirt jump bikes? :P

Pretty much the same as a bmx, allthough the added size makes it feel a bit more controllable i feel.

    Nobody mentioned DMR?!

    Fail.

DMR would be a good make to mention, if i was to suggest one it would be either that or a NS. My friends NS suburban is the nicest 24" ive been on by far.

  6. I rode a 24" Saracen for about a year and a half. Its good fun to get into.

If your looking to do more dirt that street i would opt for sused forks as oppesed to rigid. Whereas if you were doing street i find rigid alot simpler and overall better.

When asking about specific bikes and models somone else should be able to help you with that, as ive only tried a few other 24" aside my Saracen.
