  1. My rear brake locks well when the wheel is spinning forward, but when the wheel is spinnning backwards; it does not lock

I am using Echo TR clamps which means the pads are square to the rim

It's been this way for some time now, so If I'm landing a pedal gap, the rear brake would slip backwards

Why is this? and How do I fix this?

I do grind my rim with a cutting disk quite often.

  2. Does spending time on less trials oriented bike help with overall riding?

I realize these days, people start from full on pogo sticks, whereas older trials riders started from bikes not completely specialized to trials.

What kind of advantages are there by practicing on the older trials bikes rather than going straight to the pogo sticks?

I've been riding for more than two years now,and I just see myself only doing rear wheel moves on the 09 Zoo Piranha

But I also want to be good at actually riding on both wheels ie) skinnies, riding natural, sidehop from two wheels.

So I am thinking of building a Planet X Zebdi to spend some time on older geo bike.

    Is this a good idea?

  3. There was this one trials video where two guys were riding skate parks on a echo mod with white tires

What was interesting was that it had all the physics calculation of bike trials moves

ex) drops, side hops, gaps, front wheel hops, etc...

I hope some of you know which video I'm talking about :/

  4. I'm building up a Zoo Piranha long and its so frustrating because 2.4 Ardent clears with like 1mm of clearance. So everytime the tire picks up some pebblesor some dirt, the rear wheel can get stuck quite easily

Considering that it has tons of sideways clearance, Deng could've easily moved the integrated booster arch up, and it would've cleared easily!

I don't want to cut the centre knobs, so I want to try a 2.5 minion for the last time, hopefully the 2.5 minion is lower vertically than the Ardent.

Deng should at least try fitting a tire before designing a frame.

  5. I have installed Trialtech foam before using hairspray, it didnt move, but I could not push the grips all the way in.

They've worn out and I gotta install them again, but this time I want to make sure they go in full

I have Trialtech foam with black trialtech sport bar.

I was looking at this method

but I couldnt be sure since its the rubber grips, and maybe foams could be loose?

Is it possible not to use anything to hold the grips?

  6. You guys must be pretty sweet engineering specialists if you can work out how weak it is just from the wheelbase and BB rise...

Don't forget that the current Piranha frame is only 1650g or something. Hardly a tank.

You don't have to be an engineer to figure out the recent trend towards1500grams frames

compared to past deng frames of around 2 kilos.
