  1. Hi Guys,

Which would be best for a beginner? The only main difference I can see is that the T-Bird has 'V' back brakes whereas the T-Pro has disk brakes.

Is there any main differences? If I got a T-Bird, would it be easy to change the 'V' brake to a HS33 or a disk brake?

    What are 'V' brakes like?

    Thanks a lot,

    James

This may sond boring but when i first got my onza rip i was worned against discs because if you are a new rider and go to jump and miss you can shatter the disc.At least with v breaks you have the wheel to hit first I hit my hubs a lot whilst learning . just a thought for you to think .

  2. hi ive got a second hand set of hs33 maguras ive just bought for a new bike i will be getting i was wondering wen i pump the brake off the bike at the pad end one moves out further than the other ?? is this right?? or how do i fix the problem what is the problem???

try to use teflon spray normal oil stays wet it will pick up dust and crap and damage the piston and seals teflon drys not sure of silicone never tried it

  3. When ever I ride along every now and again a clunk happens and it loses all resistant.

    Cheers

    Aymon

Could be that your chain is slipping on your free wheel if its a new bike make sure the chain is set up properly or if an older one the chain may have streched.I found to test your free wheel is to support your bike hold the breakes while on it peddle backwards and then go forward with preasure if it slips or "clunks" its a good chance it is your free wheel but on expieriance try you your chain first. Or your chain tentioner make sure its inline if you have one.just looked at your bike kabuki mono same as me its the chain mail me if you want.

  4. i am an american design student, and a few years ago though "it'd be awesome if there was a bike that had a very small, straight frame and no seat. i bet some awesome things could be done with that." and made a few sketches (that have since been lost). i just found this style of riding recently after seeing some youtube videos, and i am very interested in all this, and would love to get started.

anyone have any tips of where i should be looking for info? or cool videos or pics?

i'd like a bike like some of these. how much do they usually go for? is it cheaper to build one myself? any info is welcome.

stick with this site some really good lads to talk to and to ride with JT helped me a lot at the start full of info but every body full of advice best of luck . Look on the pedal kick thread some cool videos on there may give you some inspiration (ha hope that's the right word) and as for your first bike I would not get out fancy or mega pricey my own experience is it will only get bent and scratched .

  5. i have watched the tarty video but still cant decide on wheel size because then say that 20" is best for beginners but 26" is good for people coming from mountain biking and i am both of them.

so what difference does the wheel size actually make in terms of riding and technique and difficulty to learn ?

I started as a complete beginner I would say that starting on a 20" was a good start I learnt to do the basics very quick and found it easier to go on to a 26"

I was also informed that 26" was more for street were as 20" is for actual trials.

  6. Now then I aint been riding for long but been out with a few lads and found that they were stopping to ree tar it most of the time. I found a good set of blocks on normal v breakes work fine I also got teflon cables so it does'nt stretch I use plazmatic crv.In wet and cold weather they been hard wearing and grip all the time.

  7. Yeah I got that bit (Susan Coffey). I meant is she an actress, singer, etc? Professional looking images suggest she might be something along those lines.

Fair play on seeing your lady that way. Often the way we see people in terms of their personality and how we feel about them can lead us to feel that way. It's possible see somebodies 'inner' beauty in their outer beauty, so to speak. I've been there :) Of course the reverse is also true and people can seem physically ugly due to their personality.

    "WOW" that is deep
