No, they really aren't.
I would suggest meeting up with someone local and trying out mod, stock & 24 and see which you feel most comfortable on. Having done mtb & bmx I don't think you'd have much trouble with either.
Beginners on a tight budget tend to go for a second hand Onza's, they're good value for money and perfect to learn on.

what is your biking background mate ?
bmx .. you would probably prefer mod
if you a mountain biker like me you will more then likely feel more comfertable on a stock
depends on riding style too.
alot of street riders tend to go for 24"
iv done both dj and bmx for about 2 years each, iv got about £250 spend

hi all, im new to trials and im wondering where to start, buy a brand new bike or second hand, get a mod or stock??
well basically im 5ft 7 and weigh 13 stone,
what's best for me

bashgaurd because it protects your bottom bracket shell or both but thats quite heavy

i dont think ill be aloud that as a first bike, so do u guys think saving my money and byding my time to get a good deal on a nice bike
