I just made it by myself out of aluminium (2 mm) and to add strenght used steel ( 0,5 mm)

At first use an air compressor to clean the tubes. then try to bleed the brake system. If that doesn't work then try to changhe the seals or the whole brakeing system.

You need to have BMX pads.
Fly Bikes or Proper, well they make a hell of a noise but brakes work perfect and paint or chrome stays on your rim

I use my BMX bike as a start for trials until i get a normal bike, and I was thinking that if I move the handlebars like chaincing the angle more to the front it should be easier to do basic moves?

Just started trials again after a knee injurie and it feels goooood
but I'm still useing my old BMX to learn some basic trials tehniqes

I had Crawler 2 years ago on a rear 20 '' rim.
And I ride almost every day on tarmac, gravel and in forest.
Crawler lasted for about 10 months.
Of course if you dont slide with brakes on tarmac

Is that metal plate under the front sprocket any use or it just adds more weight.

GT forks are bad i hawe a bmx better look up to proper or smt like that, they are pricyer but better i don't know but check www.parbmx.com or www.chainreactioncycles.com there are much better forks.
