  1. Thanks for your reply Tomm.

I spent ages talking to a technical support staff member for demon (my isp) who kept fobbing me off with a statement that went along the lines of "unless you pay for a business service i.e. very low contention ratios the fact that more people are using broadband these means you can expect high latency" Which i though was absolute rubbish because on 576k broadband one should get atleast <100ms even on a day with lots of other users online.

  2. DEcent vid, liked the music, liked the editing, liked the riding (but felt their could have been more original lines? and bigger combinations of lines, instead of the one move "wonders") DEffo worth the download.

ty for making it :'( :P

  3. Trials magura brake pads. Without them we'd slip.

Err, i guess plaz's were the main starters of the revolution? along with Monty? i dunno, trial history isn't my thing, i only got into it a few years ago.

Avid mechanical front disc brakes? As a general front brake, of excellent ability, or so i've been told, i run a V up front :shifty:

  4. Nice vid Janson,

good music choice, good editing to music at times, cool riding.

Easy video to watch over and over again

Liked the little insert of that sqeaky bike part, which tied in with the music, and the sped up car motion, nice extra touches i thought.

    More videos Janson, MORE

  5. Steven

Birmingham (also thought of cambridge, newyork and someting to do with paraguay, although its not a city.)

envelope 2 ( nb i couldn't really distincitively decide between 2 & 5, they were my main choices, if that helps)

  6. I haven't seen or used Hermance's brake set up, no surprise, but i doubt there's anything special to it, a ground koxx rim, koxx pads, a well bled air free system, lever in the right position, good knowledge of his equipment and how to use it most effectively, id like to know what fluid he runs though, i've found it easier to get immense lock power when iv had a thick fluid, such as oil in my mag system.

  7. Nice pics the crow, especially the last one, very arty indeed.

Nicely made frame BTW, looks solid.

p.s. It appears as if your shoe has opened its mouth to say hello in the first pic (Y)

    jk.

    Keep em coming.

  8. When you say all round , try and be more persiffic  (Y) , do you wanna do alot of viedo editing if so you will need a big hdd.

If you wanna play some new game will need a decent 3dfx card.

    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/NBrange.html?SAT

That seems to be quite a good one!

    laptop 2

That also would od the job  ^_^ .

But if you can put down what you mostly wanna do on ur laptop i can then have a look arround to see what may best suit you .

    Sam

    Thanks for the help guys.

The laptops for my sisters fiance, at a guess id say he wouldnt be doing any video editing, he will probably be doing some photo editing, so enough cpu and ram to make that as quick as poss(for adobe photoshop), he will be using microsoft progs like word, to do work related stuff, he'll probably play some DVD's and music, so decent enough sound/video cards, and a dvd-rom, and a cd-rw to burn things to cd ( i doubt hed need a dvd-rw drive) , he'll probably play some games, but i dont think thats his primary concern, so it doesn't need to be insane with gfx cards, cpu speed, ram etc. Like i said, a kind of all round machine, within £400-£500.

    At a guess:

    Windows OS, XP.

    CPU @ >1.5 ghz

    RAM > or = 256mb

    HD ~40 gb

    64mb or greater GFX card

That kind of base would probably suit him, its just a case of which company offers the best laptop at that spec OR better, within the price range.

Cheers for your help Sam :o

  9. I didnt like it because;

    a) it was widescreen, i like to focus on the central oriented area of the video, not all the way to the edges, this isnt a big deal, but id prefer normal screen aspect ratios and sizes.

    (Y) the music wasn't my cup of tea, it was dull, which made the video seem more dull than it was.

c)the camera angles seemed similar, perhaps you could try mix that up a bit by being more creative and daring.

    Just my opinion, (Y)

  10. I just saw 3 black cats chasing a ginger cat.

I didn't think they would gang up on each other like that. :)

I know dogs hunt in packs but cats?

It sounds more than likely they were planning on ra-ping the ginger cat.

Most cats around my way hunt solo.
