Cheers for the help guys. I took a couple of links out, and adjusted the tensioner so the wheel was more inline with the chain and took the old girl otu for a spin.
All seems okay so thats me happy
Just after a back brake now!!!

But as my chain tensioner is spring loaded when I undo the chain it does this....
Any chance of doing a quick sketch in paint to show us what you mean? lol

I've changed the chain so its the right way up and took a couple of links out of it, but it still doesnt look real tight...?
To get the tensioner to push upwards do I need to mess around with the spring on the back?

:$ Feel pretty stupid for having to ask this, but is my chain on the wrong way or something?
Also does my chain need to be shortened to reduce some of the slack?
I rode my bike for the first time yesterday, and found thaty the chain skips pretty much every other turn of the cranks... Anyone got any ideas?

I had an old Monty B219 back in 1999. Was a few years old when I got it, so god knows what year they frst started making them!

Started out when I was about 13 and I upgraded my 15'' Giant Boulder 500.
Had this for about a year, then I built a DDG Shooter up from the frame with my xmas presents, birthday money and pocket money!
That was nicked after a few months, so I bought some mega old Monty which had some crazy triple clamp style rigid forks!!!
Sold it for pennies to my apprentices brother when I was about 17!

I just used to keep a small lump in a small 'baggy' in my pocket...
Found that used to soften it up enough to put a small line around the wheel!

Turn up in a a tramp drift Sierra with a burberry cap on turned sideways, fag hanging from you mouth and do shit loads of donuts int he car park. Mong everyone out with smoke and cover em all in burnt rubber baby!!!
Either that or just walk there and turn up in a pink suit with a pimp stick in you hand, bass box on you shoulder with Ini Kamoze blaring! 8)

I used to use tar all the time with my hs33's!
We just used to spin the wheel quick and put a light line around the rim!
Used to last ages to!
