If you want something a bit more traditional. Try this, it's good for the money:

I personally don't like dreadnout guitars, so i ain't going'ta recommend you one of those.

Parlour and grand audotorium guitars are where it's at.

I play a Martin 00-15 Grand Auditorium. It's solid mahogany, and it's a real beaut. I bought it a few years ago and they weren't so easy to get hold of at the time. Seems they might be making them again these days: http://www.giggear.co.uk/p/Martin-15-Series-00-15M

    What's your budget?

My budget is £150, i don't really know much about guitars i have just been learning a few little bits on a friend of mine's guitar. I don't really know much about what to buy, i am looking to get one to take it to uni.

  2. Finally. I have managed to hopefully sort out trials biking for Duke of Edinburgh. There has been a 6 week trials club in my school run by Joe Oakley and hopefully this has meant that from now on I will only need video evidence to send to someone qualified.

So for Christmas I have ordered a Kodak Playsport to do some filming. Does anyone else use a Kodak for filming trials?

  3. Im looking into it and there might be a way forward with it, they are possibly bringing out a new Scheme with duke of Edinburgh, in which you do not actually need a professional assessor to meet up with. Instead you just log the amount you do and send video's and pictures to either your D of E leader or an assessor online.

There is a possibility that this is going to happen, our leader is going to a meeting on some information about it, but this will be great if it happens.

However fortunately for me a club has just opened up for our school, and we are getting a professional in to teach us, but although it will be beginner standards she will still be someone to assess trials biking.

where abouts in derbyshire you from?

    have a vote :)

Im from Melbourne, near Chellaston. Where do you ride?

  4. I'm really trying to get into trials. Iv got a Zona Zip with a broken brake front brake and no bash guard so if anyone knows of where i can find one i would be really grateful. I ride pretty regularly and im trying to get trials riding accepted as part of my gold duke of edinbourgh as that would be amazing, has anyone ever done this before?

The actual award says that we need to be under part of a professional group or club, but do these actually exist?

  5. Mate that sounds awsome, theres not too many places to ride in Melbourne and i would deffinatly come down, although im not that experienced so try to make sure you have got stuff for all riders,

it would be worth making people pay a couple of quid for a days visit, but i would definatly go.
