  1. onza pro is a good bike not the new ones. one of my mates rides onza then he thinkes there the best make so i would go for a onza pro an old one

    I have started reasonably recently but I'm riding a new onza pro and these are well worth it too. Keep an eye out on ebay because there was a guy selling new ones that had been scratched in transport and things and I got one for £360 which is really cheap for a new one!!

  2. Sorry if a thread like this is already around but if it is I couldn't find it.

    I am riding an Onza pro with the standard Onza disc brake.

    I'd like a more reliable brake with more bite/power what is the best brake i could go with? Any suggestions are welcome but I don't have enough money to spend more than 70£ on it.

    Also linking in to this is it better to have a rear disc on a mod or is a rim brake equally good?

  3. Have you got the axle bolts and washers? The Pro front wheel uses a couple of bolts with some washers to do the front wheel up. The 'axle' just sits inside the dropouts, it shouldn't stick out of them at all.

    You should have a pair of things that look like these:

    And a pair of bolts that'd look sort of like these:

    Thank you so much for this post I didn't realise they were for this and i was tring to put the axel staight onto the forks as i'm not too experienced in this.

  4. Hi there,

    I have just bought a new Onza pro on the internet and I am not able to get the front wheel on as it seems the axel is too short. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to solve it or has there been a mistake and Ihave been given the wrong axel?

  5. Thanks guys this has really helped and I have ordered my pro now and it should be delivered in three days and then I've got it for the school holidays :D

    You will be grand. It will help build your strengh up so when you start to upgrade your bike you will be able to go bigger due to not lugging around the extra weight. When I started riding my bike was 14kg so man up. :P

    Thanks mr yoshi from your idea of manning up i think I'm going to buy a snickers bar and I'm going to get some nuts :P

  6. Hi I am looking at buying an Onza Pro but am concerned as it is 11kg whereas some of the other bikes on tarty are less around 9kg some!!

    Does this extra 2kg really make a lot of difference whilst riding or am I better off getting a lighter bike??

    At the moment I can bunny hop and can kind of backwheel hop but feel I need a proper trials bike to get further.

    Is this a good bike for me in general ??

  7. im a newbie myself and just stumbled across RYAN LEECH and he seems to know what hes doing, may want to take a look

    Ryan leech is brilliant and on youtube there is everything from rolling balance to pedal kicking i think it's well worth a watch and it helped me loads.

  8. Yeah, I'm really new to this...

    Are stock and mod bikes suited to different sized riders? Or is it just what someone prefers the feel of?

    Although bigger riders are often better suited to bigger bikes this is not always the case. My Friend is not huge but he rides a diamondback Kabuki mono and has had no problems with the size but when i've ridden it it feels a bit too clumsy for my liking. Its all down to preference unless your something like an 8 year old trying to ride stock.

    I also found that at a M.A.D display they felt quite small for 26" bikes so if you fancy a small 26" they may be worth looking at.

  9. Hi there I have been researching mad phases and I am struggling to fin a wheel size and some places say 26 some 24.

    Can you give me a hand?

    Also are they a good starter bike and could I do higher level stuff on it eventually?

    Is the 1.1 really worth the extra money?

  10. I find it easier to practise (even though i can only do one) to endo and shift your momentum back with both breaks on and then when you are up you can feel the balance point and just work at hitting that balance point and then try hopping afterwards. Also getting good at trackstanding helps!!
