  1. There isn't any problem with Tartybikes, the problem is that I have to pay 100% if I buy from outside Brazil, so it would be better if I could find an option that is not Tarty. If I can't find any I will end up buy from Tarty.

How about hope fittings on shimano or avid hoses?

  2. So, I recently got a trialzone brake with tech levers, but the hose that came with the brake was too short. I have an echo disc brake hose and a would like to know if I can use it with the hope fittings and install it in the brake. If not I would like to know about a hose that would be compatible with a hope brake.

P.S: I live in Brazil, so I don't have direct access to original hope hoses.

Thanks, and sorry for the bad english

  3. I recently decided to try a V-brake in my front wheel, I ended up buying SD7 arms with heatsink blue vee pads. I'm using an echo urban fork in my bike and I'm having trouble setting up the brake. It seems that the spacing between the two arms is not big enought so I can't get the pads to hit the rim square.

Does anybody has any hints that can help me with this set up?

    Thanks

  4. that video doesn't really show anything. . .that's just the space between the engagements.

But is the space usually this big?

I don't know because I've never used freehubs before, I've used just freewheels :glare:

  5. I'm planning to get a new bike, but I'm not sure of wich one to get. I can't decide between the 4play pro (1500 usd), HEX Team (1500 usd) or HEX Pro (1100 usd). I'm tempted to get the HEX, since it's cheaper, I'm 5'6", so wouldn't the HEX be too big for me?

Keep in mind that I used to ride a Marino with 4play geo, so I'm already adapted to the 4play geo.

Thanks and sorry for the bad english :giggle:

  6. TR rotors can take a good while to bed in, assuming there was no contaminants on the pads/disc when fitted. Just a case of time and patience, or get a hope rotor on there.

Should I bed it with water or without it?
