BB bearings you mean? I'll check!
-
You see this is the thing, if I pick the bike up and give it a shake, there's no rattle to be heard. It feels around the BB area, maybe I'll just strip it down and reassemble and see if that does the trick.

So I've brought my Dad's Trek Madone 5.2 up to uni to cycle around (live about 30 mins from city centre) and generally enjoy cycling for fitness. I usually listen to my iPod when cycling, so never really noticed it before, but I did a 100mile charity cycle recently and did'nt take my headphones, and noticed whenever going over rough surfaces, the bike was really rattly, as if there were coins or something inside the frame?
I removed my saddle bag to make sure it wasnt that, and the noise is still there. The noise is only noitceable on rough surfaces, not when the road is smooth.
Anyone know what could cause this?

Coppaslip (copper grease) is the best thing to use for that type of application. It's an anti-corrosive grease thats designed to stop things corroding together and getting ceased. That's exactly why you want to grease threads so yes, definitely copper! For bearings etc coppaslip isnt the best application, as the grease is there to help moving parts move, and that's not what it's designed for, but as above, grease is grease really and all grease will do an alright job for all applications.

Enjoyed that. Not such a fan of the synchorised riding as such, but I guess for a non-trials rider that sort of thing looks cool and is well worth doing in a trials show. I liked how much coverage trials got, as usually at these things its all BMX and freeride (backflips etc)

thanks for all your help I was too late anyway as the guy has sold it I have looked at the speed race looks nice just unsure weather to spend that much as I could well get board and only ride it a few times
It's my speedrace fans for sale £350 and it's not sold !
If your interested give me a PM
http://www.trials-fo...edrace-fans-26/
Also depending where you are in Berkshire you could probably collect/I could deliver it fair cheaply
personally i'd pay no more than £250 for it.
Look in the forsale thread there is a nice speedrace fans for £350, all as i would say it needs is a longer stem.
Now has a 125*25 longer stem and it's much better

Needs time. Obviously you need to care for your hands if they are f**ked, but don't make the mistake of moisturising the shit out of your hands all the time because they are sore with blisters + callouses. Just wait for the blister to harden itself, then head back out riding.
-
If your crashing into a solid wall, then the crash will be instantaneous. The only way the crash time would increase is if your car was to bend in places, which the analysis will take into account?
-
For motorcycle trials http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/ is your place mate. Stiffer springs front +rear + some heavier fork oil will probably be all you need.
-
Not really an injury as such, but does anyone/have you ever got sore feet whilst riding? I've recently just got back into it and wearing hefty skate shoes I still get sore feet (like under the arches?) and they feel like theyre on fire lol. Never had a problem before with it I dont think. I dont even have to ride for long for it to occur..

iv been riding trials since it first started
Are you Ot Pi? Hi.

Nice mate, very very good for 2 weeks!
I'd suggest pull up slightly earlier on the tailwhip drop-offs as your leaving it quite late (hence you on your arse !). Just keep at it and you'll progress yourself, my main advice would be to give most things a go, try and venture outside your comfort zone and try stuff, even if you fail. Try and get past that fear of "oh my god I wont make it" without being stupid and hurting yourself obviously, but that helped me a little.

Not bad, i used to run those bars, they're quite nice. Is it not screw on? If it is would you be interested in swap?
Running a pro 2 so splined I'm afraid
-
what bars did you buy?
what sprocket are you running at the moment? if its a 14T want to swap? i've got a 15T.
Some try-all Rage Bars off charliemod. Yeah I am running 14T ATM, don't have a cassette tool ATM though so can't get it off until tarty/lbs stocks one.
-
That'll ride so much nicer with a higher bar and stem. Looks old school being that low haha.
Yeah just bought a set of risers, now just need a higher stem and a 15T sprocket
-
