  1. Been running the Trialtech BB since the FSA got destroyed. No problems yet. However just stripped out my non drive side Trialtech crank arm. I let a friend ride it for about 30 minutes and I think he didn't notice that the pedal was getting loose.

Fact - If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonne give you problems.

  2. If your living at home with your parents, do them a favor and wear your helmet. Consider what a burden it would be for your parents to change your diaper and feed you baby food every day? Bones heal, cuts heal; but brain damage likely for life.

Sticks and stones may brake my bones, but hell I will just ride over them.

  3. tried that with a fsa platinum pro, didnt work, smashed the bearing to pieces:( but the fsa may not be one that you can service?

I smashed my FSA, or I should say destroyed mine by riding. It was replaced free with a Trial Tech. I still needed the BB tool to remove though.

  4. A friend used clear motor home water line, I think it was maybe 1/2 inch or more. Cut it and then installed with zip ties. Also the threshold strip installed at door ways come in plastic and can be fitted again with zip ties and 2 sided tape. I bought the carbon fiber protector from Tarty.

  5. So far I've snapped a FSA Platinum Pro, killed the bearings on a Truvativ, and also a cheapo VP one too!

I'm running the Trialtech now after this happened, less than 4 months of riding on the FSA.

  7. 9 Year old with skilz.

Sorry if this is a repost, did a quick search and didn't see Gerard's recent video here.

"Hi, my name is Gerard Trueba. I'm 9 years old and I've been riding trials since I was 5. I like it a lot."

  8. A basic BB tool is pretty cheap, like $10 dollars US. The BB tool made by FSA is a bit longer than most so it will work on all longer BB axles (I'm discussing ISIS BB). It works so perfectly and easily, no buggering your threads and it will be an essential tool for basic bike work. Otherwise take it to your shop and watch, ask questions and then have them sell you the BB tool.

This picture is removing a 7 month old destroyed FSA Platinum down hill BB:

  9. Very nice, just out of interest did you go for those grips for the colour or as they're similar pattern to motorbike grips?

I had them on both my mod and stock for both reasons but recently swapped to some Rockman foam grips and cannot recommend the change highly enough!

Correct sir, the Echo grips are similar to Domino I run on my Gas Gas. I'm going to try TryAll lock on's tomorrow, mainly to make removing brakes and headset stuff easier and they seem pretty firm. Thought about foam grips but they would last a week with my newbie death grip.

  10. Reminds me of TRA, he was fairly similar many years ago.

I would say that TRA mentoring Knut would be similar in style. He or they are top in my favorites list. Wait and see him killing it in world cup comps?

Repost but I just love this video, especially at the end.

  11. I had a similar problem with my rear brake mounts. I was running a 4 bolt booster on a stock Meta with HS33. The left rear frame mount stripped out. I was able to run a bit longer M5 after filing it down that connected with the bottom set of frame brake mount threads. The top few threads are stripped, not the complete set of threads. My bike is a Meta (stupid strong) and the main purpose of the booster was to protect the brake line cross over, not so much for stability/frame flex. So I picked up a 2 bolt booster and was able to run my original M5 bolt and used the booster spacer on the bad threaded brake mount. It works fine but soon to install 4 heli-coils to get rid of the long M5 and spacer.

  12. I was running a stock 2010 model HS33 and it broke from a very basic wreck. Replaced it with the Olympic 05 model and run TNN/LGM pads. Awesome brake now. Maybe the 2011 housing will hold up better than past? Agree the lever needs to be replaced.
