Definitely no need for gears mate, but singlespeed conversion is pretty easy. Idk if youve read up but you can get either a freehub or fixed hub and a freewheel. Fixed hub + freewheel is alot cheaper and not really much worse. Im not really sure as to buying the fase, its going to feel so different to your bike, geometry is totally different.
