  1. Great, good to know Not sure if he'll register straight away but I expect he'll be hanging around. Thanks again.
  2. Hi all, I've just bought my ten year old son a Base T19 in excellent condition. Hadn't been able to afford an Ashton Justice or T Bird but he just passed his grade 1 guitar so wanted to treat him some how. Havn't found much spec info on the Base on Bikepedia, MTBR or Bike Radar ( dare I mention these other sites here?) Anyway the T19 has Alex Rims, a 2.5 rear tyre and Tektro V brakes and the bike is in almost new condition. He's well happy with it. He's been into BMX'ing for years, started out 6 years old with a GT Air, then I found a Specialized Hemi MX Monocoque needeing a bit of work last year so built that up, it's a really nice bit of lightweight retro style and we both love it, even had the redline tyres still on it, cranks were missing so bought some cheapy ruptions and then gave it a 9t conversion. Since that he's got more heavily into it and can wheelie the length of our road but still uses his GT more as it's faster apparently. He's had the T19 2 days now and is starting to learn some good low speed balance and minor tricks. He's only a little fella at the moment so hasn't got a lot of body weight or strength to help him but the base seems to being doing well for him so far. He's also a real speed freak, anything with wheels he's obsessed with (gets it from me) He's well into his scootering, is on his 2nd JD Bug Pro and frequents the bmx parks showing the older lads how it's done, he's also got a Riptik and I also built him a retro deck with Sims Streetsnakes which are still fast wheels today. So guys, if he comes on here and joins, please welcome him and lead him in this sport, he's very interested and a very sporty young lad. I'd like to see him do well at this (as mum wont let him have a motorbike yet) I want him to get his kicks in his little way and I know he'll love it. Give it a year on the Base T19 and long as he still has the interest and the willing I'll get him something pukka but for now please no mickey taking of his Base T19 as he's still learning to develop his sense of humour Thanks (by the way...which Trials bike will take my 14.5 stone without falling apart? I want to sell my x country and get one myself as I can't leave his alone) Cheers
