Yeah they are. His headtube sits higher so I think the extra height is coming from the forks

The stem is 110mm and 10 degrees. My bars had no measurements on them but they are pretty much straight, they have a tiny bit of backsweep and that's it. The frame is a Diamondback Tekiya which I know aren't good but I'm only a beginner and it was an amazing deal. When I sat my bike alongside my friends to compare and the rear hub and BB sat at the same height and they were the same length so its not a weird shape or anything. One thing that I thought I'd add is the previous owner changed the forks to some mountain bike straight forks which are about an inch shorter than my friends trials forks if that means anything?

Hi, Basically I bought a 26" trials bike off gumtree for a very good price but there's one problem. When trying to balance/hop on the back wheel the front end just pulls away from me. To stay on my back wheel I really have to wrestle with it causing a big deal of pain in my back and arms after a session of riding. I know it's not me because my friends bike feels fine. I can pedal up to the back wheel and hop around with no real strain. Everything feels in line like a pogo stick. So my question is what can I change to correct this problem? I didn't want to just start buying different sized parts at random and hoping they work so I hope you guys can help identify the problem. Thanks
  4. I'll try the thread lock stuff. Thanks
  5. So I'v already paid the bike shop once to sort it out as the tools to do so cost a BOMB! I went riding the same day and by the end of the session it was loose again... Any tips to keeping it from shaking loose or do I need a new BB? Thanks
  6. The lockring is pretty thin so it would be hard to get a grip on it with the vice. I'll give it a go though. Thanks
  7. I want to change to a 19T on the back but can't get past the lock ring. I don't have the money to buy the tool and don't have a shop to do it for me. Any ways to take it off without the tool?
  8. Ok thanks for your help. I'm going riding with my friend tomorrow so I'll check it over then.
  9. The second one's just to show how loose it is.
  10. It's a Mission hub. Surely that's not the problem? I noticed just now that the chain tensioner is pretty loose. I can pinch the chain together with two fingers... Could it be the chain skipping?
  11. Hi, I just bought my first trials bike off eBay. It was originally a Diamondback Tekiya but everything apart from the frame has been changed for custom parts. The guy converted it to single speed himself and everything looked fine. The one thing that sometimes happens is when a lot of pressure is applied to the cranks it makes a loud clunk and the pedals skip forward. Any ideas as to what it could be? Thanks
