Countersinking it would be a nicer finishing touch, a bike like the ones onza did in the t-mags, don't know if they still do or not. I'd probably do 6mm holes with a countersink finish

If you want to centre dot the rim find something that will fit inbetween the rim walls, then you wont bend the walls inwards. Or you could simply put it in a square edge of a table or so on that will fit inbetween the walls...

Thing is if I was to buy directly from echo, being in the Uk, I wouldn't have a clue where to get parts or bikes from? The website is it bit basic. Seems like Tarty is the only way we can actually get hold of trials parts? In a good way obviously

I've just tried be green pads on my bike and there impressive!. Expensive but money well spent! Best grab them quick I think there limited edition!.
But two diffent pads at once sounds interesting! Could get a nice range of advantages!.

Got some new Tnn be green pads in on a harsh grind with a new disc, and left the tyre on the rim to reduce contamination. Works a treat =D
I also chamfered them like you said, what does this exactly do?

For some be green tnn pads to try. And will try a fresh grind with a new disk. Pads are always square which is why I'm stumped. I'm using an echo brake if that makes any difference?. I do recall the magura to be a bit less spongy though...

Indeed, the echo front disk for a stock just wasn't powerful enough for my 13.5 stone lol. Hope tech is a lot more powerful. And the rotors also got continuos lines so unlike the echo which has gaps so the brake doesn't dip in and out like the echo did!. All in all money well spent

I think mines a tr not but standard on the piranha it's only 44mm wide
. And no matter which way I grind, always works better backwards :@ -

Looking for a rear rim Upgrade at some point in the future.
Currently running a echo 44mm rim that comes standard on the 12 Piranha. Compared to previous experience a few years ago when I used to ride, I'm not confident in this rims ability to hold a grind... They don't seem to last long and I've tried a couple of different pads. Looking to upgrade maybe to a trial tech either spot or Sl, any feedback?.
Is there any particular gospel way to grind a rim, because mine brake always makes the Desired sound and lock when rolling backwards haha. Very frustrating. Either I've lost the

. I can't seem to settle on a pad that I feel il stick to, but could be the rim or grind. I'm going to try a grind without removing the tyre or tube and see if that helps.. When i grind the disk is rotating away from the centre of the wheel if that makes sense, so the burr is on the outer edge.Any comments greatly appreciated as I'm still gathering long forgotten tips and tricks, Cheers guys

Yeah best most important thing is to use a disk with a sharp cutting edge. Like you said it will clog up rather than wear down. Is there a specific way to grind your rim? Like opposite to rotation or anything? Surely everything makes a difference?

I'm also using rockman pads, and my grinds held for at least 3 or 4 rides, although it held, it never really had massive
Bite or sounded effective, although noise isn't everything, just doesn't feel as solid as my brake used to when I used to ride 5 years ago (just got back into trials)

It definately, wouldn't melt in the oven. So yeah, Light sanding and a spot of Vaseline on the piston has been tried and tested
