Ogre, you only have to be 16 in some places to do the full thing like I did. Oh yeah forgot to mention in me first post that if you want to carry on doing it after 2 years, then if you have the 20 hours of training you can just resit the test that you had to do to pass first time. However, if you haven't managed to get the 20 hours in, you have to do the whole 5 day course again. The place you work at sometimes pays for it that time around if they want to keep you employed though.

Well up here indoor lifefuards pay is better, I've just passed my NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) a few months ago, and could be on £7.18 per hour, but ain't been able to because I wrecked my knee playing rugby. It costs £220 for a 5 day crash course with a pool exam and theory exam on the last day. It involves timed swims, one is 2 lengths/50m clothed in under 60 seconds, then a 20m swim to a body, and 20m tow back to the wall in 60 seconds, then a 20m swim out to a body, turn the body onto it's back, and tow 10m in 45 seconds, fromwhat i can remember. You also need to be able to reach the floor of the pool and recover a body fist time. You will be tested on this at any pool you apply to, unless it is shallower than the one that you have on your qualification sheet. There is quite a bit of lee-way on this bit, you can be a bit bad at some of the points in it, but you need to be perfect on the spinal work that you do, as it is life or death stuff.
In the theory part you are tested on primary first aid, as in bandagnig up people, what to do with certain breaks etc. Again, theres is lee-way here, but you also do CPR, which must be done perfectly.
It's a relatively easy course to pass, providing you are a half decent level swimmer.
However, for being a beach lifeguard up here, you tend to get less pay (around £5.15), and the course is more intense, due to the sea being unpredictable etc, and it's called the NBLQ, National Beach Lifeguard Qualification. Don't know much about that one to be honest.
Also, you need to keep up the training throughout the duration of the qualification, which lasts 2 years. You need to have 20 hours of training in the 24 months that is lasts, and employers expect you to do an hour per month, just to make sure that you are kept up to date.
So yeah, it's a canny job like, just wish i could actually sime at the minute so I could do it/ do training, bloody knee

Broke mine when i was six and a bit, came off my bike and landed face ( or rather nose...) first in the floor, broke it in six places. Could tell it was broken from the fact that I had a hole in the top of my nose where some bone popped out or something lol. Then broke it this year a couple of times playing rugby, got kicked in the face a couple of times. You know it's broke if its painful to touch in certain places, and chances are you'll have black eyes. Also if it is a bit dodgy from what it was before (providing it hasn't reset itself) then you should be able to get it straight again by pulling it down and moving it back straight by yourself in the mirror, or in my case by dad on the sidelines
Oh yeah, and be warned, doing above will make it piss blood again...

The Portugese fans are fine, I was out there when Euro 2004 was on, and I didn't see one spot of bother at all, even after the final when the were beaten
, and if they win, they'll be going mental for a few days like, it was crazy trying to get back to our villa after we lost to them, they were all flashing their car lights, out on the doorsteps banging pots and pans, hanging out of cars and stuff. Was a brilliant atmosphere though. -
meh i've played both rugby league and union now but still prefer union. As much as i enjoy watching league as it is good for just generally putting a high tackle on everyone and is faster paced i just prefer union

haha. Definately rugby union for me, the amount of diving that was going on last night in the Portugal vs Holland really pissed me off like. Still enjoy playing football now and again as a mess around, but since I started rugby last October I've loved it

I have got a brand new T-pro, out of the box less than a week ago and mine is doing exactly the same. I have looked everywhere. All bearings, cogs, pedals everything is tight and as it should be. What components do you have from your original T-pro?

Have you tried tightening the freewheel? Freewheels knock when they're loose...
