Not good but I knew someone who had 20" mod front freewheel and the chain came off while he was riding so he desided to try and put it back on still moving.. his glove got caught and his finger went in between the freewheel and chain he lost 1/4 of his finger..

Have you got it yet mate? If not try this. When you are in the trackstand position with your strong foot forward and ready to go squat your body down with your arms straight and back slightly curved forward. Then in one movement push down with your strong foot and pull your arms half of your arms lenght towards your body and jumping up straighing your body. It needs to be a snapy movement. If you are going back and not forward its because your standing up too high with your arms too close to your body. Also try practicing this without your bike.
Sry if this makes no sens as its the first time iv described the technique. Good luck

Thanks for the replies. Good times indeed Ben and nice old school pic. MBUK was my bible back then. The thing is that the GT was a very light frame at the time about 3.2lb for 17" with long stem and riser bars so it was just about getting your arse behind the seat to get it up the big stuff. If you got some old school pics post them so we can have a good reminise.

The rotation looks abit flat If you stand up more with bars close to your body during the spin that should help if thats what you mean by reception? I hope that helps
