  1. I'll stick with my first answer 180 would be all good but if you feel you want the reassurance then just bump up to 203 if you need to buy adapters and so on just go 203 and then you have piece of mind.

Both the aluminium spider style rotors seem good the only difference being the ice tech one is a different grade steel used to deal with heat better so for trials you'll be all good.

with all the guys here seems to vote for the 180 and a better steel material construction for the icetech as you said I will go for the Icetch 180

thank you very much Leon, Luke, paperclip and john... regards

  2. You are both shorter (not that it makes a difference :P ) and a decent bit lighter than me so 180s should be fine. Some people might like 203s for the peace of mind and possibly slight bit more power when going huge (however I have not tried them so I cannot comment), but I don't ever find that my 180s aren't enough and I'm in no way smooth.

    I hope that helps :)

It sure does help me decide on rotor size

    thank you very mucho!

  3. hi neset thank you for the insight I will not go for the welding stuff instead I already purchased a 24" specific trials street frame with disc tabs

I will go from there I am 5'7" tall and weigh around 52 kilos should I go for a 180mm rotor disc set up or 203 for better stopping and holding power?

    Thank you for the comment

    Regards

  4. The m810's are like gold dust these days I would just go out and buy a brand new saint m820 with ice tech rotor, I personally run the Aztak pads that Tarty and other stores sell and I find them faultless for feathering the brake in move's while keeping their amazing bite and hold. If you do buy an adaptor for the brake get a Hope one too it will cut down adaptor flex. The saint's work well enough for you to be able to run a 180mm rotor and have amazing stopping power so I wouldn't worry about jumping upto 203mm.

Hi paper clip Im 5.7" and 65kilos would you suggest a 203mm size rotor F & R set up on my 24"? Im using a zee brakeset any insight? an icetech or RT66? which is better?

  5. A blessed day to all some insights on this frame

I like to try to built a 24" street trials bike out of this frame

    Ill use :

    Dragonfly yardbird Crmo frame

    Arcade fork

    BBB 90 x 35 stem

    tactic handlebar

FFW 18 and 15 rear fixed cog

    NS bike 24" rim

    hollyroller tires

Shimano zee brakeset on icetech rotors 180

Disc tab would be provided on this frame using

a 4140 cnc plate and tig welded

the first pic was set up using a 24" fork If i will

use the Arcade fork the BB will be having a + 15 or + 20 BB height

I hope someone can give me advices on this build

    thank you

  6. A good day to all thank you very much for the insights i have changed my fork to a sasso aluminum fork

and there is a big difference in weight and handling my suspension fork used to drain me on a short while

    TIA sirs!!!

yes defiantly change to rigid forks as suspension will only take away power, and I would think some moves would be almost impossible with them such as up to fronts and hooks though that's all pretty advanced, for now your definitely on the right track the rocking hopping and track standing, check out the Ryan leech tutorials and trashzen.com for tutorials. I started off on a dirt jump bike after you's learnt to rock, and back hop, try to rock walk it's pretty safe to learn great fun and stand you in good stead for other stuff.

thank you for the push sir
