  2. Hey guys,

Thanks for all the support, and a massive thanks to everyone that voted. Unfortunately the judges/simon's decision to send it to deadlock was my downfall. But hey, i had a really good time and i hope you guys all enjoyed watching it!! I am certain it isnt the last you will see of me!

There is like page on facebook if any of you fancy joining that basically says like if you think joe oakley was robbed. It will be interesting to see the response.

  4. I don't normally like TGS videos but this was really smooth there were barely any unneeded correction hops and all the lines were cool and big.

Thanks for the reply mate. Although I wouldn't consider myself to be a TGS style of rider. Even after watching the video again i still don't think it puts across as me being a TGS style rider.

I train every technique possible, and balancey, technical lines are what i train more often than anything TGS. Ask anyone i ride withand they will agree. I also aim, with me being a competition rider to be as consistant as possible and 95% of the moves in this video were made first time!!

    Cheers. Any more comments,

    Joe.

P.S: Dont take this as a rant, i am just explaining my style of riding. I appreciate your comments.

  5. nice one pal, hopefully see you at a ride sometime soon! do you ride barrow farm ?

Yeah occasionally when i go and stop at toms house. Not been down for a while though!!

    That's what she said ......................

It was though  that side hop was as smooth as a baby's bottom.

    thanks guys, more comments?

  6. From reading Chris' blog, seeing interviews with him and all that sort of thing I don't think he views himself as some sort of "role model" who's out to "promote the sport" and all that other stuff a lot of trials riders seem to come out with, so I don't think he's particularly worried about not wearing a helmet from that point of view...

It doesn't matter if he sees himself as a 'role model'. if other people/kids see him that way.

  7. that was different! Pretty sweet though, takes mad skills to do that kind of stuff! Mucho respect!

    get over yourself

Get over myself? A "professional" rider to make a video where he isn't wearing a helmet. think its disgusting. its not exactly portraying a very good image. People like myself, Andrei, Dan and ben are constantly trying to explain to kids the importance of wearing a helmet then one of the best known riders in the country goes and sticks a vid on the internet wearing a flat peak cap. I'm sorry if helmets aren't cool enough. When he is just riding he can do what he likes, but when he is making a video i personally feel he should wear a helmet.

REALLY, you saw that video and thought, oh he aint got a helmet ?

    Yes.

  8. Alright guys,

Just had Bella put the clips he had of me together. No music or anything. nothing special, just winter training. thought i would whack them on here for you guys to have a look at. Please excuse the quality, i know its shit!!

Let me know what you think!

    Joe.

  9. I hate the feeling of anything flexy pretty much anywhere on my bike. Ever since the old Slinger/T-Master proto frame I rode for Onza yeeeeears ago, I've always loved really stiff frames/setups. I usually overtighten my headset for that reason, and run really high spoke tension too (as well as using paper-thin grips and thin pedals). Flexy wheels are the absolute worst - it's amazing how much 5 minutes with a spoke key can transform how your bike rides...

Sticking with frames though, I'm much more of a fan of having them as stiff as possible. I like to be able to feel what's going on when I'm riding, and feel what my actions are doing to my bike, so having a frame that flexes too much just kills that totally. I like the feeling of control you have when you know that the input you give is going to have the reaction you'd expect, in much the same way I 100% prefer riding hardtails compared to full sus bikes because you can use pumping and movement of your body much more.

I am completely and absolutely with mark here!!

  10. i think steve is a top bloke, and he is a really nice guy. But you can really see the difference in level between him and toni bou and the other top boys now...

    But he is a showman!!!
