Hmm never been keen on monty bikes, and always seen youngsters riding them, but top one looks a bit better...but from the M5 carbon to that? Pretty much a massive downgrade don't you think?
-
yeah I'd never ever held a grinder until this point aha and it was late and just scary cause i was also using a metal grinding disc.. but I'm going to grab a few Stone discs.. but yeah knowing my luck I'd go through my tyre
Next time, keep the tyres on while you grind the rims.
Taking the tyres off and on leaves a residue on the freshly ground rim which sometimes renders the grind useless. This only usually happens if the tyre is tight going on. If its a single wall rim you won't have to drag the tyre bead across the side wall of the rim.

No I kinda had to do it quick but yeah I took the tyres and stuff off and to be honest I don't think I did a bad job
Been on it properly today and haha not been riding for about 2/3 years and going mod to stock feels so much more comfortable height wise. And it rides so nice am well happy to be honest, but yeah I need to get practising big time haa

Can anyone please explain how to proceed with grinding on my rims, front is a Trialtech Sport 26" and my rear is a Clean 26".
I've just received my bike of tarty thinking I'd asked them to do it for me but I will have to learn i guess.. is it as hard as it looks? are there certain grinding blades you need to stop it slicing straight through the rim? I've just had these delivered brand new and i don't really fancy f**king them up straight away

Yeah I'm an idiot and tend to ignore the useful info :/

For echo TR clamps is there any form of Cylinder washers you can use other than the magura ones?
I'm guessing that the Echo SL ones are only usable on the SL clamps?

Been watching this guy riding for the past few days on vimeo and YT.. he's actually so sick!!

you'd be better off just emailing tartybikes with your exact question.. they reply just as quick, i did it with allot my questions regarding bike parts ect

The brakes I currently want are only available in 2 finger lever rather than 4 finger. I only really use 1 finger when using my brakes anyway, but I have been advised to go for the 4 finger lever cause its more comfortable and I have the option to use 2 finger incase.
Anyones advice on what i should do? order the 2 finger or just wait for the 4 finger to arrive back in stock?

Probably get more money selling the maguras separate if they are 05 models. Cause allot of people love the levers and stiffness on them, won't get much for the frame or forks, and depending on what wheels you have.
-
If you set up as post mount you'll need a bigger rotor won't you?
-
Looks well nice that when putting them style of stems on, do you have to angle the top of your forks too? To make the sloping top cap fit sit properly?
-
Yeah true, I didn't read though what I put properly haha

One thing I really miss on my Breath over my Onza frames is the integrated tensioners. Don't really mind snail cams, but prefer integrated tensioners
I don't get why Bike/Frame companies don't just start building them into their frames cause I bet they are just as costly as snail cams, they should do 2 versions, snail cams or integrated tensioners

nice riding buddy keep it up

Just wondering. What's not being careful? You tighten them, then the bolts and job done. Right?
i think what he means is if you tighten them too tight or if you use wrong size allen key or if you do them at an awkward angle
-
yeah cheers lads, knowing me and my brainless maneuvers i think its best i get one aha.. bikes ready to order woop! should be ordering it first thing monday if all goes well
-
I was thinking when you said you was gettin it polished that it'll look very nice as it is... I was happy to see you stuck with the shiney silver
-
well I'm more confident now with this integrated design thingymabobby. I was thinking years ago when i first had my experience of chain tugs that i hope they make a better design and thankfully they have aha
Another quick question.... how many of you use Bash rings for 24"/26".. I see some riders on videos use them and some don't.. I was thinking of getting one but couldn't choose between full ring or half ring

cheers for all the comments and that, havent been on here in a while but been riding all the time when i get the chance. But yeah being of the bike for almost 2 years, I'm slowly getting back to how i was.. but only got little obstacles atm, but the bike is riding awesome. and I've ridden this beauty in the rain too, as here i france it is blooming boiling so riding in the rain is so much better than riding it sweltering 34'c haha
The stem is 160 x 30/35.. and I'm 6ft4
And trust me guys, I'll keep taking the tyre off, I've had the bike for barely 3 weeks now and if i damaged the tyre then its a pain in the arse for me getting just a tyre over to france.. seen as i doubt anywhere in france does decent tyres lol
